As a curiosity, I have three structures I'd like to have moved over, is there a limit on what we can shift over?

Not wanting to have any structures carried over; would it be easier for you for me to have the items I want transferred over placed in say a shed, or to just keep them in my inventory?

Or should I just have a small building copied over and have all the chests in there, to make it easier for you?

The latter is easier for me to sort out, plus think about the destination, if you just have chests out in the open, you're gonna get there and find a creeper nearby... Best to have some sort of cover for them at least.

Hrm... Dark, could I ask a favor?

Think you could possibly move the spider spawner that's in the middle of the Mesa's main room someplace else? Or even just copy the various spawners I have scattered around beneath me to a single location on or near the surface within my walls? If no, that's fine. Just thinking. I hate destroying spawners, because they essentially provide infinite experience and stuff.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Are you copying over Suburbia, Dark? I'd quite like my townhouse from there (don't remember the co-ords off-hand but can probably find it if need be... it's the white stone slab 3-storey house with obsidian reinforcing pillars), either in New Suburbia or somewhere near to Spawn.

Anyway...

I'd like the Netherbrick building at 459, 63, -827, which has stairs extending North below it, and the 'civilised' parts of the ravine systems beyond (Chasm Doom et al, leading north, underground, to Chasm City and a little beyond, at 478, 22, -1043). Plus the Iron Keep, above Chasm City, at 415, 77, -1050; and the artificial hill under the Iron Keep, which is full of banqueting halls & stuff... Plus the Beanstalk at 353, 63, -1016, and the Chasmholm halls below it, with the entrance at 333, 50, -967, and Chasm Farm at 350, 50, -960.

Corridor 440, which is at 440/439, (height 39 or below, mostly), and extends from the above territories all the way through the desert chasm and as far north as Savage Island -- I'm quite happy to re-build corridors, including this one, but would quite like the 2800 approx pieces of rail (plus around 200 powered rail, at a guess) that make the railtrack in it, and maybe the 1200 or so torches... I'd rather not have to dig that stuff up manually if possible, but shout if that's necessary! The rail starts at -978 and goes to around -3900 or so.

Partway down the rail is the Desert Chasm -- surface building at 439, 64, -1436, chiselled & carved sandstone 'dressed cavern' beneath. Would quite like to keep too. I don't mind so much about the more minor bases en route on the rail.

At the other end of the rail is Savage Island, a joint project between me, Sky, Jambayemon, and (formerly) Janje. If there's any way to put the buildings on a mid-sized, mostly forested island, and maybe give us a load of oak logs and torches to remake the palisade round the island, that'd be awesome. So, Savage Island sort of starts with the Dwarf Embassy at 4666, 63, -3886, and the dressed caverns and chasms beneath it. It's mostly the chambers straight down the steps below it that I want, as there's a lot of chests around that area full of stuff. Shout if that's too much hassle and I can probably find my way back there & move everything to the surface. My own personal house on Savage Island is at 491, 73, 3845, and the other people's houses and storerooms and so on are nearby, including a paddock with 3-4 horses of mine in it. I'm assuming they all still want to move to the same place.

The corridor itself goes all the way to -4144 or so, but I believe I've cleared anything I desperately wanted to keep from that end now.

Jambayemon's main project is on Paradise Island, with the building at -485, 74, -3964. If there's any way to get those 2-3 buildings onto another, fairly isolated island, he'd be happy. A mix of desert and plains/forest would be ideal.

In terms of where to put this lot, ideally I'd like all bar Paradise Island in a straight-ish line again, so I can once more connect them up with a big underground rail & corridor. At least 2000 blocks from Spawn to start with -- happy to be as much as 3000 or even 4000 blocks out if need be though. The main chasms should ideally be in forest, but with some Extreme Hills very nearby. The beanstalk can be anywhere really. On top of a big hill would be nice, if available. Desert chasm should be in the nearest desert, again, if available. Dwarf Embassy and Savage Island should be on a mid-sized forested island within a couple of thousand blocks & in a straight line if poss, and ideally on the same straight line as the desert one.

Like Anvil, I would love to keep the spawners I have, but I guess I can find more...

If this is way too much effort, Dark, please do let me know, and I'll try to deconstruct / retrieve stuff manually. :( Sorry, I know this is a huge wish list, so I'm definitely willing to be haggled down!

OK, everyone please make sure their structures are ready for copying by midnight (London) tonight. (Just over 9 hours from now) Here's a quick way to check what time that is where you are:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meetingtime.html?iso=20131026&p1=16&p2=136&p3=179&p4=75&p5=224&p6=152&p7=196

Make sure you have all your inventories/chests consolidated, animals moved within requested areas etc.

I will still accept structure copy requests after that point, but they will be copied from that point in time.

I'll then be enabling creative mode for all players with the following rules:

* Don't destroy other people's stuff without their permission - some people are still doing farewell screenshots/videos etc - it's not nice to interrupt them when there's not been a lot of notice on this.
* Don't go flying off generating massive amounts of new terrain, it'll just lag the server and all that terrain is getting reset anyway.

x:-1100, z: 1200, the stone brick fort thing . Just the ground level stuff, anything beneath it can be ignored (ie there's a gorge thing beside it).

Any savannah that'll appear on the map (though uh, closish to spawn preferably) will do (and if possible could it be raised a few blocks above the ground?). Though will there be any land conflicts due to it originally being from a swamp?

I have Flamey5's request to have his house copied over. He want his house in a Savannah biome around 4000 blocks away from spawn. His current co ords are: x334 y95 z917

So yeah Dark, its my aboveground fortress at the above location, and my belowground area of it as well. (it'll extend down quite a ways). To either a savannah or a plains near a savannah. Distance from spawn doesn't matter.

Will inventories be carried over as well?

Ok, here's my fort:

http://www.darkinnit.com/dakkamap/#/-416/64/286/-1/0/0

(I only need down to about 20 blocks below the ground if that's possible, so as to not lose my skeleton spawner.)

The Nether portal beside the wall is also mine.

I don't care where I end up to much, possibly near a village?

Yes to both.

Can I also mention that if anyone else wants to make modifications to their requests, that it's fine to do so at the moment, but make sure to make it as a new post. I'm noting everything down in a much easier to scan list and I might not spot if you have edited your original post.

Hey hey, figure I should throw my lot into this.

I'd like my old manor (aka Ravenholm) copied over (preferably put in some spooky looking forest).
http://www.darkinnit.com/dakkamap/#/-155/64/111/max/0/0

I'd also like this island (and the ship), Xanadu 2.0 copied. I think some where in the middle of a large ocean or lake would be best.
http://www.darkinnit.com/dakkamap/#/-1655/64/-1308/-2/0/0
Would be great if you could go down to about y:40 to preserve the ravine we have in the middle of the base.

And finally, if anyone is interested, I'd be willing to offer up my village as a sort of public emerald/iron farm, or a base for someone to live in. Not really sure where it should go though.
http://www.darkinnit.com/dakkamap/#/-852/64/-2902/max/0/0

OH! I forgot about this thing. Be a real shame to waste it. I think it'd look alright near the village where that ends up.

Does that include your cathedral? That place is nice.

I agree with The Banned Guy's citadel (aka "this thing) being copied over. It looks really pretty.

Yeah, I want to send over the big cobble citadel structure, the sandstone library structure, and the ocean-floating Endstone structure.

PMed Dark about specific coordinates.

Could we have Gangstamuffin's donated village somewhere near Spawn, as a communal thing?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I do especially want some of the halls near to those chasms... will you be OK to find relevant big-ish, obviously created by me, underground structures very near to what I've delineated -- like the Throne Room and other stuff neart to the Chasmholm portal? There's loads of chests and stuff there, as well as valuable materials in the walls & ceiling & so on. Again, LMK if you want precise locations. I'm not bothered about the vast quantities of finished but boring corridors or random unfinished caves.

Yeah, I'm not being robot-like strict to what people have asked. If someone's asked for coords that only cover 9/10ths of their house, I'll extend it to get the whole thing. Similarly for your stuff, I might just end up copying huge cubes of underground for your stuff.

I'm still sticking to the "nothing pasted within 500 blocks of spawn" rule though, so Gangta's donated village will just have to stay further out somewhere.

Anyway, just less than 1 hour left till I take the backup for copying. Make sure all your things are ready. Player inventories will also be copied, along with enderchest inventories, xp levels etc.

I'll still be open to requests for copying structures after that, but they'll be taken from the backup.

Cool. Thanks Dark. I am now feeling like the least I can do is become a DCM. Do you have a preferred charity that grateful dakkaites should donate to as a way of thanking you for all your hard work on this one?

I've heard that Avatar's Bank Account of Charity-ish-ness is decent.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Nothing concrete yet, I'm not even halfway through getting copies of peoples stuff for importing to the new world. (Although I might get through it faster if I didn't keep stopping to check out the pretty builds )

I'm also not rushing too much as I expect there will be further bugfix patches from Mojang next week and it makes sense to generate terrain with any latest bugfixes. That's not to say I'd just sit around waiting forever, I don't think there are any bugs with world generation at the moment, just display and game mechanics issues. So if I finish copying things before any bugfix is released, I'll be going straight on to getting the new world ready anyway.

After looking at this, it was too intricate to divide things up, so I've just done a huge box around everything. So you'll be getting most of the surface too and the layout of everything will be the same.
