Hi all, i have been looking at 40k and fanatsy for a while now and really want to get into it. I bought a box set and some of the starter armies box sets a few years ago, i made them and tried painting and failed with painting. Due to local club rules of if your not making progress with the hobby you cant game, i fell out of love with it due to my sucky skills at painting. well over the last week i have a buring desire to get back into it and really learn how to paint and play. After a bit or research i found here so Hi Everybody  .
hoping i can improve my painting and finally get to playing.

its not motavating when you cant paint 
im a little bit of a perfectionist and if the result does not turn out how i can see it in my head i just scream and strip it, i understand that it will take many many many years to be golden demon standards but my brain does not compute that
im gonna make a serious effort and try to put that part of me aside and just get on with it.

Welcome! That rule about "progressing with the hobby" does sound weird indeed! Painting takes practice, practice is learning, learning is best done at your own pace Take your time with it
