Ack, I haven't even finished the Thaw of the Lich Lord campaign yet! :(

Are there any longer campaign books immediately planned, or will it be rules expansion books like Into the Breeding Pits for the foreseeable future? I'm fine with either (need a break after the current campaign anyway).
There will be a Frostgrave Folio released in March 2017. Quoted from Amazon US. "The Frostgrave Folio is the complete collection of all previously released Frostgrave mini-ebook supplements in one printed volume. This includes Hunt for the Golem, a three-scenario campaign in which the warbands hunt down a rogue golem; Sellsword, which introduces rules for experience-gaining captains to help lead warbands; Dark Alchemy, which expands the rules for potions and potion brewing, and Arcane Locations which gives additional options for bases and base upgrades. The book also includes a completely new mini-supplement, The Ravages of Time."

Don't know about a longer campaign book, however.

At this pace, I'm more interested in something like a hardcover omnibus that is basically all the rules-related publications.. Don't get me wrong, the Folio is welcome.. but having all the rules in one printed and revised place for clarity and ease of access would make things so much simpler. This could really easily become as bad ass D&D with all the splat books and compendiums etc.. which is the opposite of why this game was originally appealing to me.

Well, much like D&D, you don't *have* to use everything - pick and choose what works best for you and your group!

Add things in, or not, as needed, for flavor, of course.

That's one of the best things about the whole Frostgrave Setting!

I too wouldn't mind a big chunky deluxe rulebook. I like having everything in one convenient location.

I seem to recall seeing something about printed spellcards at one point. I think that was more of a fan thing on dakka though, wasn't it?

Is there a handy link someone can point me to?

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

There is apparently also an official deck of spell cards, but I've never seen it in stock anywhere, even Osprey Games.

For some reason I thought some came with the gnoll gnickstarter.. I assume I am mis-remembering.. I had to pack all that stuff up since we're getting ready to move again...

There are official Frostgrave spell cards. I bought some at my FLGS, but from what they told me it's often difficult to get certain Frostgrave items, presumably due to demand.

I've got a deck, I think they aren't re-issuing them because (a) they don't have spells from the new books and (b) some of the wording is too long for the cards format.

Has the Forgotten Pacts Nickstarter completely stalled or are they just not updating the pledge ticker?

North Star also appear to have ended their 10% off early bird deal. :( I am like 95% sure they said it was for orders between 3rd and 10th October! Still, Dice Bag Lady still has the 10% off, and cheaper postage. Will be doing my order this evening.

I was sure the early bird expired yesterday.

I didn't realise Dice Bag Lady would result in cheaper postage, though since I got the early bird I essentially got free postage anyway. I was just assuming we'd be well on the way to the 3rd unlock by now. Especially since multi-part 28mm barbarians are so useful for so many games.

Pants. DBL no longer has the 10% off. :( Guess I will be sitting this one out then, and waiting to just buy cheaper at retail in a month or so.

So North Star definitely advertised the Early Bird as being "3rd to 10th October" (I went and checked back through my promotional emails), but have chosen to end the offer at midday today. :( Bit frustrating as I was planning on placing an order tonight!

There was a post on Facebook yesterday that EBs end at 12BST today

The pledge total has now updated to £14,275 so still a bit to go yet.

I own the official Spell Deck is well, and still love it. Its true that it doesn't include expansion spells, but those spells, almost across-the-board, aren't added to a Wizard in the customary ways, so much as earned specifically when doing things within the confines of that given book's scenarios, loot tables, etc... So they aren't too missed.

That said, i'd also be all for a giant omnibus, and a "final" revised spell-deck, if the game is going to get a content hiatus next year. Though honestly, I hope we'll at least get one full expansion next year, as I love new content.

We know the Folio is up next, and don't forget the Ulterior Motives side-quest card deck coming out soon after, though!

The Dice Bag Lady has now removed the EB prices.

Yeah, I am guessing they went at midday too. :(

At this point I'm thinking I don't want to buy from North Star any more, if I can help it. I had an order of around £80 ready to go (via DBL) but, uh, oddly enough, the morning of the day the deal ends is not exactly a convenient time to place an order, particularly if one doesn't know that the offer is ending 12 hours early!

I will doubtless pick up a pack of the Barbarian multiparts at retail, but unless I get some vaguely useful response from my Facebook entreaties to North Star, meh. Nothing against Bad Squiddo, mind you -- they presumably just got rid of the early bird deal at the same time as NS.

I think it launched at 12, so it did run for exactly 1 week. I guess that's not hugely clear to anyone who missed the start, though.

Yeah, or who read the text of the emails they sent out, or looked at the same text on their Nickstarter website...

Anyway. It's no biggie really. I've just found (having backed the first two Nickstarters and then ordered stuff after) that dealing with North Star is a load more trouble than it's worth. I'm not suggesting that they're dodgy in any way. It's just that they seem, er, "quirky" is probably the politest way of putting it, but quirky to the point that trying to communicate with them as though they were a regular business, is frustrating and counterproductive.

They are a pretty small operation, despite their distribution size; I got the impression there were only 2/3 of them. But whilst I've been on the industrial estate they work from, I don't think I've ever spoken to them directly (they are/were directly across from the Warlord Games office).
I guess that does result in quirky service when you're used to bigger companies. I've never had a problem with them over maybe 5 orders in the last few years (I'm a total sucker for mystery bags).

You'll probably be able to get most of the Forgotten Pacts stuff for 10% under retail in your FLGS anyway.

It wasn't a huge deal -- it just took like 10 emails back and forth, and several weeks, to get like £2 worth of bases that were missing from a much bigger order I placed with them. They wanted me to contact the Post Office to see where they were, etc. It just seemed a huge amount of faff for a trivial amount of goods.

And the latest Nickstarter thing is really frustrating too -- I guess I am spoiled by being used to Kickstarters, where if I miss the end point when there's a large counter on the screen, it's my own silly fault.

That looks pretty cool. I might have to pick it up to have a good mixer for some of my GW bits floating around.

A lot of my multipart FG stuff has sat on the sprue with bits being used for D&D or Mordheim. Funny enough, I've been using Reaper minis or GW stuff for most of my FG games. I'm excited about all of these releases but we're going to be changing duty stations 2 times in the next 3 years so I have to keep reminding myself not to fill up any more moving boxes.

I think we can agree though, that sometimes that is the best part of these kinds of games, and this scale. I own every Frostgrave release to date, and could still fit it all (books included) in a box a fraction of the size of any one of my 40k or AoS armies. :-)

There is something really, really nice about supporting a very well made game, with a steady stream of content, but minimal overhead. Its what X-wing felt like to me before it got so bloated.

Very true. I have... well honestly I could field >35 Frostgrave bands with just random models I have in craft boxes. I probably have another 5-10 on the way from various Kickstarters. But man, I love putting together random guys from things in my bitz boxes periodically. And I love barbarians for some reason.

I'm in the same boat.. For a while I was just grabbing random Bones models and D&D and other figures and thinking of different themes etc. My son runs an undead themed warband and I've done everything from fish people to constructs to revelers. I have a huuuuge load of female models from Bones and the D&D boardgames plus random other sources. The Shieldwolf stuff will probably help out too. I know different people had different thoughts on those but the ones I use for FG will end up having fur lined cloaks and other accessories sculpted on.

Oh... right... I forgot I have like 200 Shield Wolf things coming... oh man.

I should probably stop buying things. Right after this next Miniature Market order.

Have we seen a final product yet? I dropped out of the project because they sounded too Frazetta for my tastes.

Now showing various models from the previously adandoned projects!

They are not ideal, but definitely on this side of Frazetta. I'd have preferred a higher ratio of bellies with chain mail to bellies without, but that's about it for complaints based on what I have seen so far.
Well, ok, silly over sized weapons, but that's easily fixed, and pretty much assumed these days.

To answer your question, I don't think we have seen a final plastic model built, but we have seen all the renders and parts that are going to be on the sprue.

I got a cryptic message from Sheildwolf about some females in the near future that would be more well-suited for FG Barbarians.. For me I'm not that picky.. It's Frostgrave.. one of my favorite things about it is it's cheap, easy, and doesn't care about what minis I use.. But.. if someone else wants some females to accompany the official FG Barbarians, SW might have some news here in the near future.. Sorry if that's off-topic.. I am not entirely sure since it deals with compatibility but I'll refrain if it's not cool.
