It was unfortunate who I played last, however the rest of it was super fun, the TO had some great missions and objectives... I also really liked that you did not have to win primary to win the match. If secondary and tertiary were won, you would win the match. It was very cool.... My thanks again to the TO and my opponents

How does that particular player keep getting into tourneys if he is such a terrible sport? It kind of blows my mind.

I will have to take a group shot, but I did win best painted at this tournament, which made me feel pretty good, I worked hard on my models, so I was pretty proud. Will try to take a picture at home later and post a picture of the army.

It was nightfighting, in addition it was obscured behind a wraithknight. The holofield raises the cover save by one - I should have said cover save. I should have corrected that. However, if you look in the pregame it does say that it was nightfighting turn one. Even without the cover he was more than 12" away so he would have gotten stealth as well. You are right and I worded it wrong in the battlereport, we both knew that it had not moved and that I was taking a cover save.

Thats fine, but Holofields only effect your cover save when you have moved in the Movement phase. So yes, you get a cover save if you WS was obscured 25%+, and then Stealth/Shrouded based upon the range of the attack. But not the +1 cover save from the Holofields. This is based upon the fact that you havent actually moved your WS yet in a Movement phase.

I do not have my books in front of me at work - but I thought that Holo-fields improved the cover save by one to any cover save and not just jink... but maybe I am wrong... Thanks for the this if I am. I do realize that a bike or vehicle has to move in order to claim a jink.

It does improve any cover save by 1, which is why I typically stick mine half behind a ruin for the 3+. But if you dont move... you dont get the +1. 9-(

Yeah, you have to move to be able to get the +1 Holo-field bonus.

Wow, I've never seen you lose your gak. I can't even emagine it. You just struck me as the kind of guy who is always smiling and laughing things off...like even when you are gazing up at the sky in wonder and a pigeon flies by and gaks in your eye.

That has only happened once... lol

Actually I had two people at the table next to me to keep me sane. I only got terse a couple times, the rest of the times I just sighed and either tried to explain it or waited for him to get the TO

But luckily HulkSmash was next table over and I got a little cuddle time with him so it made it all better

Being one of the guys at the table next to him, he did definitely stay calm. But being called a cheater for having holofields on his wave serpents would get anyone worked up.

My favorite thing about that game was listening to that player start an argument about a rule, be told he was wrong by the judge and then try and turn it around on Eiluj.
