Frontline Gaming Acquires Golden Throne Grand Tournament
Announces Bay Area Open 2014

Martinez, CA: The organizers of the two largest California Warhammer 40,000 grand tournaments, the Golden Throne Grand Tournament (GTGT) and the Bay Area Open (BAO), announced today that the BAO would replace the GTGT as the West Coast’s premier summer event beginning in 2014.

“Reece and Frankie are incredibly dedicated to the long-term health of the wargaming community,” said Robert Pace, GTGT event manager. “With their Las Vegas Open now happening in the spring, it seemed like a natural fit to have them move the BAO into the summer slot we’ve typically used for the GTGT.”

With the GTGT acquired and officially converted into a Frontline Gaming event, all event tickets currently held – including those purchased for hobby seminars and other side events – have been transferred to the new BAO system and will be honored. In fact, players shouldn’t have to worry at all about the transition.

“We’ve worked together to be sure everything is clear: the tournament’s name is changing, but it’s still the same awesome summer event that’s been around for years,” said Pace. “If you’ve already bought a ticket, whether it’s for the main event or a hobby seminar or anything else, you’re good to go. All of that info has been passed along.”

Finalized event details, including information on the 7th edition tournament format and directions to the venue, can be found at www.frontlinegaming.org in the coming days. Questions about the event, previously purchased tickets, etcetera should be addressed to contact@frontlinegaming.org.

I'm lost as to where the ticket purchase information is now, and where all of the event information has gone. I don't see anything on the Frontline Gaming website, or the Golden Throne site anymore. Could someone direct me to these things and the rules etc. Thanks!

Ok, thank you. Oh, and if there is 7th edition unbound armies, I would love to match up against you with my nasty Taudar army to prove that its still amazing

Yeah, give me a day or two to transition. We just signed the contract for the new venue and should have confirmation tomorrow that the deposit is paid and good to go.

As soon as we are securely attached to the new venue, we will put tickets up for sale. Should happen within the next 48 hours.

BTW, Tau and Eldar aren't BB anymore. Thus, you can't cast those psychic powers on the Tau allies.

I guess I can just wait a couple days to find out, but can you say if this will still be at the Alameda County Fairgrounds? Last year's location was great (on top of being a dream for me).

No, it won't be at the Fair Grounds. We just signed on a new venue in Downtown San Jose. It is 10,000sqft, a really nice spot.

Oh, I know. But there are some pretty ridiculous things that you can abuse. ImotekhTheStormlord has helped me dream some stuff up.

Does this also mean the other golden throne events such as the southern ca and Texas ones are canceled as well?
