Like the title says... I'd considered adding these pics to my previous SW thread, but since it's 5 months old now I thought I'd avoid the risk of thread necromancy and start a new one! Gives you an idea how fast I paint though! It works out at about 1 Terminator per month! Although in my defence, I must state GTA 5... Anyway, enough waffle, here's the models... As always, feedback etc much sought & appreciated...

Group shot...

This one will be a Lone Wolf or part of a Termie squad as necessary...

Regular squad (if such can be said for Terminators)...

And yes, I know the barrels aren;t drilled out... I may do them one day but I'm happy with them as is for now... [/pre-emptive comment}

I love that lighter blue color, either im a moron and using the wrong color, or i am incapable of getting my paint to that color? Any tip's for painting space wolves? They look great.

Thanks for the comments... No real trick to the armour colour - it's just the trio of GW paints for SWs - The Fang as a base, Nuln Oil wash, then layer with Russ Grey and edge highlight with Fenrisian Grey. It's much better than the old range with Spacewolf Grey etc...

Do you use a gloss varnish over the basecoat? I see now what I've been doing wrong I just base coated in russ grey lol. And now I'm debating stripping down all the models I just completed >. <

@urbanevil no there's no varnish involved, just paint and a wash. Hope you get a finish you're happy with...

I recommend you drill the barrels-it will complete them more, Good job!

1. Go to FLGS on a 40K game night.
2. Announce to no one in particular "I have over 10,000 points of Space Marines".
3. Sit back and watch as some 30-ish Neckbeard who still lives with his parents not only disputes your claim, but goes on to describe his 30,000 points of Blood Angels and how he has been playing since Rogue Trader days... And yet you will have never seen him either play 40K or that army.
4. From here, you have several options. Continue the conversation, or just end it. Either way, I guarantee you will waste 1+ hour of your life talking to this guy. Have fun!

This. You spend hours of shading and blending and not the two minutes it takes to drill out the gun barrels. It really does make a difference.

However, having said that, the paint job looks really good. I like it a lot. Probably because it reminds me of my guys.

looks good ... i am still deciding how to paint mine ... not to sure about the blue tint in the main coat .. but dont want solid grey either ... so now debating between a darker shade of what yours are ... or a grey with a different color tinting to it then blue.

fighting against a metallic grey for the basecoat.

@Deadshot, yeah, he does look funny - somewhere between mad Victorian gent & Dr Robotnik... Wasn't intentional but I do quite like how it eneded up

@SilenzZz I guess I'm a bit lazy just using GWs own shades, but they are better than their old colours by a country mile... It's just fortunate they're a shade I do like a lot, not too light or too dark

Very nice. I'm totally stealing that color scheme on the Storm Shield, been wracking my brain on what to do on them, the black looks good. I have never done the blue/grey for my wolves personally, always went with light or slate grey, these look awesome though, very well done!

Nice work, but if it is too late for you to drill the barrels out, a couple of black spots for the barrels would go a long way to completing the model.
