No discount on foam this year, just bags?

That bag looks pretty nice.

With two PP bags and two P3 bags, I'm not sure I want another bag, but this one shows a lot of promise. From the Battlefoam website, you can stack 15" of foam, which means a Colossal, and probably 2-3 more trays for your warcaster and infantry. Pretty much a perfect 50 point bag that will carry everything you need for a tournament (rulebook, dice, templates, measuring device).

I think I'd prefer if they just retooled the P3 bag, got rid of the paint logo, and changed the inner lid. I travel a lot, and lugging my large, heavy PP bag through multiple connections (anyone that has flown through Minneapolis or Detroit know what I'm talking about) is a pain in the ass. The advantage of my P3 bag is that it's always counted as "a personal item" onboard aircraft. In other words, I get my carry on bag and my P3 bag. Then again, a colossal/gargantuan won't fit in my P3 bag. This could be a nice compromise.

Any chance that this sale will ship in time for Christmas this year? Or at least letting people know if there's a delay? I made an order from you last year and, after hearing nothing from you until after New Years (despite my repeated attempts to make contact) I ended up taking a refund in February when you STILL hadn't shipped my bag.

How much does this new bag hold in comparison to the old bag? Bigger or smaller?

@tomjoad Sorry to hear about your previous experience. We make an honest attempt to get every order as quickly as possible knowing that the holidays are coming quickly, but due to the volume and complexity of the orders we are not able to guarantee that every order will be done by Christmas.

@AduroT The Privateer Press Tournament Bag holds 2" more in height, but is half the width of the Standard Privateer Press Bag. 15" worth of Privateer Press Half Tray sized foam. Overall it is a smaller bag made to hold a more specific 2-3 list setup instead of a full faction layout like the Standard Privateer Press Bag.

i wonder how much of their sales this one sale is. I've ordered almost every year, especially when friends pool for a bigger order.

I have some very specific foam needs this year (stormlance tray) that I can't hope to grab at a con.

What time frames did you receive the orders out of curiosity? I got my only order in mid-January after complaining both via email and PM's/posts here; it was a christmas gift for someone else that I ended up having to keep for myself because of the next year date it arrived. I'm not sure how they organize who gets shipped first. I assume in stock stuff goes out first and *hope* the easiest orders go next but that wasn't seemingly the case with my Black Friday order.

It was mid January. The impression I've always gotten from them is that they ship regular orders first, and don't get around to the black friday sales orders unitl after the holiday. But that's just casual speculation.

It's lousy that they didn't respond to your emails, but this is really one of the only ways to get BF at less then retail.

Whooooooooaaaaa. That's 3 months. Ugh...

I nearly had a problem with my Colored PACK 720 order with custom load-out; sent multiple e-mails with no responses when inquiring when it would ship (it was a Birthday gift so I wanted to ensure it got shipped in time.) The quality of the product is great, but the e-mail correspondence is lacking severely. The response I got was that they prefer calls instead of e-mails. I will still buy stuff from them since I need a custom tray for my Forgeworld Spartan and I am pleased with the qualty, but I hope it's a little smoother this time around.

That's a completely plausible reason that never occurred to me. I just assumed that they started work on mine after New Years because I realized that by not getting the "we're working on it" email from them *BY* Christmas meant that I wasn't going to be able to actually give the gift for Christmas and started complaining as opposed to the politely inquisitive email I sent about the status prior. I could definitely see a company deciding to prioritize full price customers at the expense of discount customers even if they ordered weeks earlier.

I think I've taken advantage of this sale twice now and usually end up looking for February shipping... Then again, I do weird custom tray requests that always seem to take some back & forth.

ATM, I need 1 tray, stock, so no idea if I'll order anything this year.

I'm in this year again. Last year it took months to arrive but it was something like 7-8 custom trays and once they started working on my order communication was great and everything went smooth as a baby's bottom.

Axiom tray and perhaps a p3 paint bag for me. Love this sale!
