Yeah, I think it's July, as the FF/Asterian retail release was pushed back to August so the KS backers got their first.

so something thats been bothering me. using the green camoflauge fortress for reference, if you look at the piece of terrain that is at an angle with the shuttered windows, i think its called a reinforced wall? you can see the way that the windows are pointed.
then if you look at a regular open window tile that matches the shuttered window, doesnt it look like one is upside down?

yeah i think i see what you mean but it think its just the angle the shot was taken at, perspective does funny things to the eyes sometimes but I guess we'll find out when we get our next batch of scenery.

Speaking of which, I've managed to get a few more variety of tiles finished and I thought I would quickly build a small structure and see how they look together as a single piece, so here's my little house in the deadzone

Nice building. It also reminds me that I Really need to start working on scratch-building some more DZ terrain and maybe even a raised board like yours.

Because some of you demanded it, I've begun working on the conversion for our favorite Latverian dictator as an alternate group of enforcers. Also, to piss off a friend, we started singing MmmBop by....Hanson, was it? Only MmmBop was changed to "doombot". Watching her froth at the mouth at such a thing is worth it. Doombot. Doobehdah doombot. Woahoah doombot. Etc.

Very nice. How did you do the rust effects? They're particularly eye-catching.

The rust is very simple and achieved using two of gw's new technical paints. I put down the metal followed by 1-3 layers of typhus corrosion to build up a little texture (its got teeny little microbeads) then a dry brush of ryza rust. Quick and simple, but I have a rusty metal shelf nearby and the colors are very similar, those paints are good stuff.

hey Grimdork, nice looking scenery there, that rust effect sounds really quick and easy to achieve, I think I might experiment using your method on a few of my scenery pieces, I must admit those technical paints do an awesome job.

Wow, that is pretty good. I got some of the rust effect paint spruiked on the mantic Radio cast a few months ago, and it's pretty good, but the rust effect is the really heavy, flaky rust of really olf structures. Although it looks realistic as hell I was hoping for the most light rust you got.

Actually, I want to make a couple small fixes on him (His cowl should be a little more rounded, and the yellow needs a touch up). Other than those, he's pretty much good to go. Oh, and flocking. It's hard to see with my iPhone camera, but the cloth parts are black with a shadow grey and black ink over it, while the boots, chestplate and belt are "leather" and are made with black and 'Ardcoat.
