Well now we know SuperHeavies and More Fortifications are coming along with formations, what are some of the things you'd like to see from the 'Expansions' within 40k?
Since we're now getting formations, I'd suppose I'd love to see some of the Strategems arrive into 40k, like the Planetstrike and City of Death Strategems that have been showing up in the Supplements. Such as the Weapon Virus from the Black Legion Supplement.

I would like to see the return of random strategy cards and missions from 2nd edition 40K.
I know it's more randomisation, but it really forced generals to think ahead when deploying as they didn't know what mission they would have to accomplish.

It's been way to long, forgot about those, but couldn't those be manipulated by the 'Tactical Score' of the faction, back when each race had their own intelligence for generalship? Or am I thinking of something else from back then.

More mission variety. We have our three deployment options and 6 missions, but they're pretty much all either "Kill as much as you can" or "Hold the objective". Battle Missions was a load of pap too, since most of them were just "Hold the objectives but this time you get a slightly different deployment zone".
I think I've still got a copy of 3rd Edition somewhere back home, and the missions there were so much better. You had Breakout, where you were surrounded and had to get as many units off the table. You had Meat Grinder, get as many units behind the enemy lines, very little of the boring stuff we have today.

This. As an example, Malifaux has a really cool mission generation system. That one be the first thing I would want added to 40k, if I had a choice. More diverse missions.

I'd love to see Xenos Fortifications, the idea that only Imperials have Fortifications (without home-crafting, which frustrates some of the 'purists' that think the true model should be used) with weapons to Imperial Standards (no way around that) is stupid.
Aside from that, more spread abilities of Interceptor/Skyfire to certain armies that don't have it because of older Codexes, or were ignored when their Codex hit (Eldar Interceptor?).

I don't think everyone should get the ability to do that (Hammernators would be too good then), but some units should get it.
Honestly I think there should be a difference between "Deep Striking" (as in coming in from Orbit or making a high-altitude drop from something that's flaying overhead) and what something like a Mawloc does (namely burst up from underground). At least in terms of the assault rules.

Easily accessible rules.
Right now everything is spread across the winds. Codexes, supplements, e-codexes, Apocalypse, FW, FAQs, FW FAQs, Advent calendars, in the box, psychic cards, and of course the main rules book.

I personally like that codecies have certain weaknesses and strengths...its a great aspect of the game that I hate seeing be dulled by the inclusion of allies.
Honestly I just wish all allies were convenience or come the apocalypse. Makes more sense to me.

Thud, they'll fix that with 7th Edition. Which I imagine the book will look something like this in terms of thickness:
"The Rules" version will be a slight bit thinner.

Yeah, Ymgarls are simply lying in wait, Daemons come out of deepstrike like it's breathing to then. Dark Eldar clearly walk through a gate/portal and have no reason to be stumbling around.
But some things exist purely for game mechanics and enjoyable play...like not scoring while in a vehicle.

Another one that popped into my head: I'd like to see a tightening of the rules of what you can and can't take. A prime example is in the Tau Codex: Despite the fact that Shadowsun and Farsight are enemies, and that Farsight's clan has no Ethereals, there's nothing in the Codex preventing you from using them all together. While this has been fixed in the Enclaves supplement, it ruins the fluff a bit when you can just take anything like that.
Same with the Marine Codex. You're a bit restricted in special characters due to Chapter Tactics, but they then say you can ally with another Chapter, making this point redundant.
To put it into simple terms, I'd like to see some sort of restrictions in place to encourage more variety in lists, such as 0-1 or 1+ selections, and the unlocking of units through other choices, rather than just moving them around the FOC. Same goes for Apocalypse and these new formations; instead of saying "Any army can take these formations", they should restrict it more, but of course GW would never do this as they'd sell fewer kits.

2: Good, interesting Codexes for the armies I like: Chaos Legions, Chaos Undivided, Sisters of Battle, Adeptus Mechanicus... and more Xenos.

Which fluff exactly? The fluff that had Marines as basically goons? The fluff with a Half-Eldar Librarian? The fluff that has been changed, amended and even written out of existence several times now?
The fluff thing strikes me as funny because when you look the fluff has never been consistent and complaining about it now is like showing up to party 25 years too late.

This is off-topic, but I think that most of the fluff is consistent, mostly because it was presented as tales, propaganda and legends. That is no longer the case, we are presented with more and more "facts", and they contradict each other. Or negate previous stuff.
Just an opinion, of course.

A good campaign system.
Does not even have to be super complex.
Something a bit more advanced than the one in IA12 would be great.
The holy grail would be one that incorporates battlefleet gothic, and 40k. Does not even have to be complex.
(I made one, but I don't want to have to make one...).

I'd like CoD stratagems in 40k, and would also want a greater variety of missions besides the rather basic ones available atm. More access to and variety of off board artillery such as the Chapter Master orbital bombardment (as a HS choice).
