And no stat/price change on base warriors, but they can buy flesh hooks.
And good luck spamming Tervigons, because you need a full brood of 30 gants to do so.

So with no transporta-bug and no Mycetic Spore model, is there any indication on how Nids move quickly? Can they still deep-strike in spores, sans model?

Fools! The Exocrine obviously fires Tyanid broods across the battlefield. This makes it the large transport and explains the removal of Mycetic Spores.

The kits aren't bad but the Red and bone scheme is very lazily done.

They got rid of Mycetic spores?! I mean I don't play Tyranids but that bit of fluff and rules always impressed me with its originality and I feel like taking them out is a missed opportunity for GW.

That's probably not it given the earlier fluff, but that is still hilarious to imagine.

That'll be the Haruspex, look at the huge claws. It's gonna eat whole tanks, but I doubt it'll transport anything. That was the Malefactor.

Yah, I can't wait to get a better look at that thing.

I am liking the look of this release. Pretty spooky stuff!

Looking at the 'new' warriors I am not seeing what has been charged.

(Not talking about the Prime which clearly has extra gribbles.)

First comment:
1.) Tyranid Warriors look almost the same, guess I don't need more.
2.) Hive Guard look close to existing models, which is a good thing. Not sure if I need more.
3.) Tyrant Guard: Prefer the current ones.
4.) Exocrine? Looks good, but close to my Tyrannofex conversion. Why another Tyrannofex?
5.) Haruspex: Difficult to see, looks ugly. Will it ever get close enough for close combat?
6.) Harpy and Crone: Both look good. Bombs clinging to the wings skin makes no sense. Also is there an unpainted belly on the Crone pic?

Seriously worried about this release. With Tervigons having a higher tax, stealers and warriors being the same (aka useless) and a possible loss of biomancy, things are looking bleak. Maybe they'll be like Eldar where some old build gets super buffed but... I'm not seeing it. If Shadow in the Warp is gone which it may well be (guy on /tg/ has been avoiding all questions on it, so it looks like it's not mentioned in WD which is worrying) then I can't see how Tyranids will be anything but DOA.

Here's hoping my second favourite army pulls through and gets some awesome stuff though to combat seer council/tau gunlines.

Nah, I doubt they would get rid of SotW. That's a pretty big tyranid thing. Removing it would be like getting rid of the necrons' ability to self-repair.

Perhaps they'll bring back 4th edt. biomorphs such as +1 toughness or saves, fleshhooks being grenades, and scuttlers. Shadow in the Warp getting a huge buff could also explain why they wouldn't change much. Also possible they have certain special rules justifying it. Still too early to claim a codex DOA.

@ Kroothawk: I find your assessment pretty spot on.

There has to be more to a new Warrior kit than just some shoulder pads and BS/LS for the Prime surely?

The Harpy iz the only must have right now. I adore the little ripper things.

The big gun bug puts the 'meh' into 'megafex'. Not ugly but quite plain compared to several T-Fex conversions I have seen.

Biomorphs will almost assuredly be exact replicas of the wargear selections that we've seen in Tau and Space Marines 6th Edition, complete with "generic upgrades" (toxin sacs, adrenal glands etc), to "rare upgrades" (regeneration, etc) to "one-of-a-kind, one-per-army upgrades", which would be... well, look at Space Marine signature wargear I guess.

Nope, I've been in the hobby for about 8 years. I still think over sized pauldrons look silly. Especially when the guard's clearly obstruct his arms a bit.

I like the new kits, the Haruspex is my favourite so far.

Hopefully the Exocrine is a barrage weapon. That will make it a useful alternative to what the Tyrannofex. Also we can then actually hit an enemy effectively without having to always do it on their terms.

I have to ask this even though I think the answer may be obvious considering the changes to other armies: Are boneswords gonna become AP3? Cause if so I see rending claws being the new default equip for warriors.

I hope the Guard kits can be built without the Space Marine bits. Only slight complaint from me, otherwise looking good and waiting to see proper GW pics.

Damm, they look fantastic!! The new big-beast model had me a bit shocked there, but that's what its purpose is I guess. The Crone has me a bit puzzled though; from the looks if it I'm guessing it has some sort of Template, Bio-Acid attack, but whichever way I think about it it'll just be a Heldrake copy in pretty much every way. The Exocrine is nice as well, I'd imagine it'll have a weapon similar to the Hierophant, S10 Ap3 Assault 6 or something along those lines. Before you recoil in horror, this would probably be offset by BS2 or something like that. The model itself though, I can't quite put my finger on it but I kinda think that this is what the Tyrannofex *should* have been,

I'm very much looking forward to this release, might even start a small 'Nid force myself, although I'll see what the rules are like beforehand.
