They are literally RIGHT BELOW the swarmlord's title on the left.

It's good to know that the Tyranid "retinue" still functions uniquely to the others across the 40k-verse.

I'm kind of excited that I don't know everything in this book. As far as rules go, I mean. It gives me something to be somewhat surprised about as I read. I can't remember a codex where I wasn't fully aware of every rule and points cost about a month out, and here I am with my pet army not knowing what to expect. Yet at the same time, not too much changes from one edition to the next, so I kind of expect certain things...

It's like going to a haunted house, where you know those stupid clown heads and strobe lights are coming, but you don't know when they will actually pop up.

Obviously, just noting the possibility that the hive guard brood bodyguard rumor is most likely false.

I must've missed that rumor. Or maybe I assumed that whoever was reporting it confused hive and tyrant guard (happens way too often).

Does anyone know if the digital Codexes are available right after midnight on the 11th? And is it based on GMT or your local timezone?

The White Dwarf didn't go up for download until about 10am AEST on the 4th, so I'd expect a similar restriction on the Codex.

The other thing that HQ force app thing tells us is that the Trygon Prime = HQ choice is most likely false.

That's 1AM GMT right? If that holds true that means I be able to get it on Friday evening awesome!

Someone who has greater knowledge of the general release timeline should weigh in on this, as I've heard that local time has no bearing on when it goes online, it's all based on GMT.

I would've assumed iTunes is sophisticated enough to determine what time it is in the location your account is registered to, it has the ability to determine ISP after all, but apparently not.

I live in the Mountain Time timezone in the US which is 7 hours behind GMT and stuff from BL usually drops promptly at 5pm which is midnight GMT. Well, except for the Advent Calender stuff. The stuff was release at weird times. That being said, I have the digidex preordered, so I'll probably have it downloaded on Friday around 5pm.

Edit: This is based on my previous purchases of the C: =I= and Iron Hands Supplement. Both were available at 5pm MST on fridays.

It's not looking great guys :(

Some infos again.

Synapse Creature : 12" Fearless and auto-regroup

Adrenalin Gland : Furious Charge and Fleet

Toxic Sacs : poisoned CC

Lictors : Now have infiltrate but without bonus to reserve rolls. About 20% pts drop

Deathleaper : Slight pts reduction, Changed to HQ. Has warlord traits giving additional VP when wins challenge.
No fearless but gained infiltrate. Enemies can only shoot snap shots against it and it still give penalty to enemy leadership.
No what was that and where'd it go

Tail weapons : CC weapon. Four kinds

1) S8, AP-
2) S6, AP5
3) Poisoned
4) S4 AP4 Rending

Ravener : Slightly less attack. No acute senses and no move through cover
May take expensive champion upgrade which can remove infantry model in b2b if all attacks hit.

Some of the psychics are : -D3 to WS and BS ; Allows friendly unit to run and shoot

Rending Claws have AP value of bolter. And No ymgarls

Hive tyrant can still give outflank to one troop unit by purchasing extra upgrade. Can only use tyranid psychics. So no biomancy

Flesh hook without rending

No 2+ armour for carnifexes. Although tyrants, tervigon and trygon can take it via bio-artifacts.(See below)

There are few bio-artifacts compared to other codices.
Some of them are : Bonesword with strength buff ; Ymgarl transformation(Which can increase armour save slightly)

Trygon of both kind are bit cheaper at the cost of slightly less attack. The tunnel rule remains largely unchanged

Instictive behaviours are fixed per unit just like former codex.
However, there are three specific results per behaviour depending on dice.

Lurk : Fall Back / Can shoot only when hidden / Can shot only when hidden + Stealth

Hunt : Go to Ground / Shoot closest unit / Shoot closest enemy unit + Preferred Enemy

Feed : Inflicting hits on themselves / Assault closest enemy units / Assualt closest enemy unit + Rage

So how long until we start pining for the current codex?

When you saw the Trygon Prime was 230 in the battle report, you knew things weren't going to be good!

Good to have some trusty information, at last !

About Raveners : they may lose move though cover and an attack in their profile, but have 2 pairs of CC weapons, meaning +1 attack now, and if their beast status has not changed, in 6th edition this comes with move though cover by standard. So nothing changes here.

hope it's trolling, because reading it made my eye twitch.

@raveners except loosing rending claws, which makes an already niche unit a no-go. from rending to AP5 is a serious downgrade. damn shame if it's true, i love the little snakey bastard and have 12 of them that only get to see the table for funses.

Sadly, it seems like a lot of units were actually changed for the worse individually, but got cheaper. Still looks like a lot of the issues people had with the codex aren't fixed though: usefulness of Warriors, Genestealers, Ripper Swarms, Lictors and Pyrovores seems to remain unchanged.

Hopefully Sinsigel is missing some glorious insight, but it does indeed look grim that we'll be stuck with the same issues for another edition.

Venomthropes can potentially be a massive game changer depending on how they've changed.

And the edition after, if these issues aren't being changed now I doubt that they will be.

Seriously, who works for GW? Who writes these dex's... if that's accurate this really sucks, and the pics lead me to believe it might be...

Guess it's all about Termagants and MC's again. And again and again and again.

P.S.A. I won't read your posts if you break it into a million separate quotes and make an eyesore of it.

The last section in the White Dwarf mentions Cruddance as the author again, even if the book itself says 'GW Design Team'. I guess that would explain things.

Damn they really should have given the job to someone else. Guess Cruddace has an issue with facing up to his misgivings. It would be so easy to make this dex balanced IMO, why has he taken out good stuff and left the crap unchanged. Ward would have done a better job

Well Sinsigel has uploaded pictures of the Codex front and back, so it does look like they have the Codex to hand. That being said I still think that the information they have provided is wrong. From what we are reading in their latest update reads as if they have made Tyranids worse... which is hard to imagine. No BRB Psychic powers for the Hive Tyrants? Seriously GW, also RENDING Claws are only AP5, shame as if remember correctly, RENDING Claws were the first thing in the game that introduced the Rending mechanic back in the 3rd edition Codex.

Time will tell, but the back of the Codex does look good at least.

I call bull droppings.

We presumingly knew most of that already. Rending Claws don't Rend? hah

Venomthropes and Carnifexs potentially attacking each other?

Even if the Codex becomes mediocre or being linear still from a competitive view, the likes of the big guns (OOE) becoming lower in points, more cool models, i still have hope this Codex will at least be half good, but moreso, fun.
