Left click anywhere on the marine to pick colours. Bear in mind you may need to put the page into compatability mode, that little torn page icon, for it to work.

I voted turquoise. Some of these seem way too busy to me. They'd end up looking like a rainbow blob across the table.

I'd definitely agree. 5 wasn't serious in any way, orange and yellow could be simplified like others have said, but then it would just be the howling griffons.

I felt really happy with how the turquoise and green/yellow fist turned out though.

I was really torn between the white and the turquiose, went with turquiose in the end.

Well he also exactly copied my scheme for my Storm Troopers for the white scheme. I thought that scheme looked familiar.

My vote is white since, well, I came up with one exactly like this. It looks really nice too.

Not sure if it's the main/only one, but try this: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/smp.php Took me a second to realize you have to hit "select" to apply the color, thought it was broken

My vote was for the white, as it's my favorite. However, painting white can be a pain in the hindquarters. If I were going to do one myself, I'd probably do the turquoise over the white, just for ease of use.

So I started putting together some marines today for the first time in ages. I'll be ordering some paints in the next week or two, so expect to see a blog of mine popping up in the next little while! I'll be painting the turquoise scheme.

I'm not really sure how i'll do it, but probably just base colours, strong tone colour ink from the army painter, then maybe some highlights.

Just need to come up for a name for the scheme!

Thanks for the input everyone!

EDIT: Ace101: I guess great minds think alike eh?

Cool, be sure to link your blog. I usually can't get through such a project, but they're fun to watch

Will do! Hopefully I'll have it started by the new year! (maybe)

Turquoise. It stands out from traditional color schemes, looks original, looks good, and just really helps differentiate them form the founding Legions and their offshoots.

I have to say that the best and only feasible one to paint is the first one, green and yellow. The others will consume a lot of time trying to do the checkered style with specific bits painted differently (knee pads, for instance).

What's difficult about the turquoise one?

Well now come to think of it, your pauldron trim is purple/violet, while i have mine as blue (getting the cues from the 501st from SW). I have no problem now...
