The problem with fighting games, I find, is that you need to find a community for them. Playing online alone just isn't enough, you need real people you can interact with. That said, once you do get a real community of players you can meet and play with, it is great.

A few years ago I would have agreed. But now, not so much, Online communities are good enough these days. Been playing SSF4 for about 2 weeks now and the only community I have is off of a twitch stream.

Fair enough, still enjyoing just practicing in that game though. And ultra comes out next year so that should increase the player count again.

For what it's worth Street Fighter is not a fighting game I'd recommend. Regardless of how much some people may enjoy fireball spamming for 90 seconds at a time, I just cannot endorse Capcom's practices regarding disc-locked-content.

If you're looking for a good fighter, I'd recommend one of these:

Skull Girls
The King of Fighters 13
Guilty Gear XX^C (Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- is also coming out next year, and it will be amazing)
Super Smash Bros Melee
Project M

Meh, I play on pc, none of that disclock nonsense.

And honestly I've only run into fireball spam once and it's so easy to counter it's laughable anyway.

For a great RPG shooter, go get System shock 2 off GOG. It's easily the most disconfiting game I have EVER played.

Naturally, fallout and wasteland as well.

PC gamer, or?
What I am enjoying at the moment is the Mount and Blade series.
Picked them up for peanuts during a Steam sale and I am really enjoying them.

If not Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas if you haven't already played them...

Also, War of Roses which is Free to Play on Steam at the moment.

Guilliman and the Ultramarines are like Manchester United, everyone hates them because they are so awesome!

Without the system that you use there isn't really any point in making recommendations.

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

For Pc I would dare recommend something along the lines of Baldurs gate and the like to sate your RPG needs. Also Neverwinter is also a decent game to kill time with. For more tactical modern games see if you can find S.w.a.t 4 with its expansion pack
