A few people have said they want a vindicare assassin. this, to me, betrays a woeful lack of ambition. I want the assassin team from "Nemesis", the very best operatives from every assassin temple? I think that between them, they'd see through any plotted attempt on my life... and then I'd release the Garantine....
Wryyyyyyyy....
Alternatively, a coterie of Word Bearers, who belive I'm the messiah? That'd be cool!

Feth it, I'll go with the SoB. Apart from them being my favourite ones, playing bodyguard to important individuals is also one of their duties, so they know what they're doing. Their Shield of Faith and Acts of Faith would also be quite useful.
But, specifically, I'd go with Sisters from the Order of the Argent Shroud. They're famous for their selflessness, and their habit of speaking as little as possible would up their status as badass bodyguards.

I voted the Dire Avengers with the Exarch. That guy can provide me with an Invuln and the squad is tough as nails against even the most determined firepower. They can also wound anything in the game with their basic weapons.
They are also far more observant naturally than the other races, able to spot trouble well before the others (gak on your Space Marine senses, Eldar have that naturally).

that might be true; I see the fact of them being elves actually attracting a lot of negative attention and more fights and trouble coming towards you and them than you would have without them. true, they could probobly handle themselves with their guns of course but in areas where they arent allowed to bring weapons.....

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.

No typo intended. That way, if you manage to defeat all 18 and the massed hordes that they have assembled, and finally corner me in my safe room. KA-BOOM the final two burst out of my safe.
Edit: Plus, the Inquisition will get involved to destroy anyone who knows about my two portable Primarchs.
