Looking forward to more terminator conversion sets! I like #2. Over #1. Would make great Morlochs.

Any hope of a terminator plasma type weapon arm? I really hated the one in the dark angel release and was hoping it would look more like the mk v dreadnought one from FW.

Lots of resin, heavy items to ship, I can see why most companies stay away from the larger pieces. Defense lines are really on the edge of that line of cost vs profit.

As for the Space Orc terrain.... I have it being cast now.

How about tryanid conversion terrain? Add ons for existing plastic kits where nids have started to take it over. Kind of like the corrupted terrans in star craft?

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Excellent torsos there Nick! Metal or resin works fine for me. I figure that termies have such large bases that one metal bit won't really make the model unstable at all.

I don't think the model will fall over due to the metal, but I think resin would be a better way to go for "fit" purposes.

Since metal shrinks considerably more than resin you may have fit problems with the part, since the front plate would be a smaller size than the plastic body.

You could get significant gaps or a "step" where the two plates meet since the front plate would be smaller then the plastic body part it connects to.

That is a fantastic idea! And is what I'm actually doing currently. Existing ruins terrain (which there is tons of) can actually work quite well for Tyranids, imo, with the right conversion pieces. Things like this "Anklebiter Barnacle" for Deep Wars would be fantastic. Tentacles, spawning vats, anything like that

I'd agree with resin.

On the sets, I think the 5-packs is a great idea. What about additionally giving the option of which of the two types of heads you want with your torsos with a pull-down?

They pop up on ebay every so often, under a seller called hobbyworld.ua They are quite nice, but just because someone has already done Egyptian terminators doesn't mean that more companies should. More choice means more variety. Just need to persuade companies that they should be doing Egyptian themed marines/terminators rather than more ork heads

Recently, December 22nd, Chapterhouse Studios LLC stopped working with an employee by the name of Tomas Fiertek who lives in Sweden. He is also a sculptor and frequent poster to many discussion boards and goes by the name of Pyriel or -Pyriel.

I was not aware of the fact that he was using the company name to hire out a sculpting job to one of our regular sculptors. Unfortunately he mislead this sculptor into sending him a finished miniature on January 2nd, and Tomas was released from the company on December 22nd. Unfortunately, the sculptor has not been able to contact Mr. Fiertek through emails since then and he considers the time and miniature lost or stolen. I am currently speaking with the sculptor and working with him towards a solution.

The sculptor has not seen payment from Mr. Fiertek or emails since he asked what address to send the sculpts to.

Please be cautious if you have any contact with Mr. Tomas Fiertek, he is no longer associated with Chapterhouse Studios LLC or any other company that I am aware of. Seeing that the sculptor was not paid for works delivered, I have my doubts on whether Mr. Fiertek has the funds to pay for future works. If there is any further information I will update this post.

so if you see anybody trying to sell the above stuff get in touch with me please.

Below are the photos the sculptor shared with me.

Sincerely,
Nick Villacci

Yes that poster, real name Mr. Tomas Fiertek. He is not associated with Chapterhouse Studios anymore and I was unaware of him saying he owned the company he was part of...

I would suggest being cautious in dealing with him as he's stolen these minis from an independent sculptor, not the company.

I don't know if we should be bringing up Pyriel in here, and as to whether or not he's 'stolen' something from someone?

Probably best to stick with talking about "Chapterhouse Studios 2014 releases" and leave all the rest of that stuff to some other thread, if in fact it is appropriate for another thread.

Alpaharius, I posted this in the new releases and news thread as I want the word out that this individual is no longer a member or representing the company. He did not "steal" from the company, but rather used our name and then took ownership of a work from a sculptor and did not pay. That all I wanted to say on this.

They were done by a lady called Irina in Russia, who used to put ten batches of each up for sale on Ebay once a month. They would then usually be swiftly bought up and resold for double the price by other ebay vendors. Sadly, she hasn't put any up in quite some considerable time, leading to them becoming quite the rarity.

Fortunately, I have two of her kits.

A very fitting offer, it was -28 Celsius this morning...Very tempting deal though. I have wanted to pick up the Drop Pod doors and Rhino armour for a while now.

Any chance we will see the termie torsos released before the offer expires?
