Hey, guys... I'm currently trying to finish my bloodthirster, that ugly-ass metal miniature and just realized that the big tomato-juice addict has braided hair or dreads or a combination thereof. Now, I have one question, and one question alone: Who in the name of all Chaos undivided is braiding the fur of a greater demon of khorne and how to get the demon to sit still long enough in the first place to NOT behead the barber doing this?

I guess bloodthirsters must have an effeminate side.

No idea if it's true, but I've been told that dreadlocks form naturally in longer hair if you don't clean or brush it, so in that case it may be more the Bloodthirster not giving a crap than the other way round.

I get my hair braided often (laypeople refer to them as cornrows), and if there's one thing that one must endure while having them done, is pain. Perhaps the beasts of chaos enjoy the 2 hour sit down, it appeals to their sado-masochistic natures.

I guess Bloodthirsters moonlight as reggae artists in their free time.

Also, the vikings braided their hair. Vikings = Manly, therefore braiding your hair is manly.

Greater daemons are created by khorne, we can only assume that when Khorne creates his bloodthirsters he does so adding braids.

Normally, you'd simply have iron/steel/whatever smashing into the back of your skull as it absorbed the blow of an axe, however with a cushion of braids coiled to cover your head and neck, they cushion against the force of your helmet being forcibly smashed into your skull/neck.

Yes, but it prevents you from suffering a more severe concussion that could result in death. They didn't really have padding in helmets similar to the quality of bicycle helmets in the modern day to absorb and distribute shock, you made do with what you had available.

Those are dreadlocks on wild animals. Human (or human-like) hair will turn to dreadlocks on its own if you don't brush it. Want to grow your own dreads? Wash and towel-dry your hair, but don't ever comb or brush it. In a few months, you'll have natty dreads.
