They are ramping up with new authors as some of the biggest prolific writers take on more projects outside. A lot of why we are sswing is2-3 years ago. HEresy stuff was held back last year once BaC popped up so we are seeing a dammed flow of books from last year and this. Exciting times! BL tries all kinds of new things (even discounts and subscriptions) and seeing what works.

Agree it's excellent but I only have a finite amount of reading time and the schedule will beat me. Which is annoying, I know one thing for sure any model buying, painting etc is definitely on the long long finger.

Okay, feth THE WHAT! comes to mind when I read this today on their news app:
With the Beast Arises now a third of the way through the series, it seems a good time to announce future titles in the series. After next month's "Throneworld", the series will continue in May with "Echoes of the Long War", which sees the Fists Exemplar ally with an old enemy in common cause. June's "The Hunt for Vulkan" brings the Salamanders primarch back into the Imperial fold, while "The Beast Must Die" will see Vulkan lead the Imperium to war on the Orks' home world in July. And in August, "Watchers in Death" will reveal for the first time the secret origins of the alien-hunting elite of the Imperium, the Deathwatch.

Oh for...seriously? So not only does Vulkan get upgraded from "MIA" to "functionally immortal" in the Heresy, while Ferrus changes from "also MIA" to "chair ornament and perpetual butt of jokes, also lol he's a daemon in 40K feth you Iron Hands fans", now the red-eyed hippy git gets to play at Warmaster in M32 as well?
Other than graphic NSFW Vulkan slashfics, I genuinely can't fathom what's going on in the minds of the BL brain-trust these days.

Curze was supposedly killed by a random Callidus Assassin - but in the old fluff, it's not even definite what happens. I'd put a question mark by that as well.

What?
It's implied that the tortured remnants of Ferrus' spirit become a daemon of Slaanesh or somesuch BS.
And ArtIsGreat, it's not the idea of Primarchs running about in M32 that I find irritating, it's that it's yet another reminder of how BL changed the fluff of my favourite Primarch to essentially use him as a cheap emotional speedbump in another's story - the original Heresy fluff was that both Vulkan and Ferrus vanished at the Dropsite Massacre, they were both "missing, presumed fighting evil in the warp" like all the other Primarchs who vanished over the years; most of the Primarchs either vanished, went into stasis of some kind, or became daemonic entities specifically so the fluff could have that epic and ominous "one day they shall return" angle to it.
BL changed that which in and of itself isn't a problem, the issue is the disparity in treatment - the Iron Hands aren't even going to get their own Heresy novel, we have to make do with a couple of short stories and being bit-players & plot devices in other Legions' stories(and don't anyone give me any nonsense about there not being enough material for an Iron Hands HH novel, given how much new material BL and FW have invented out of thin air, if they had wanted to write it they could have created the material), and of course Ferrus gets definitively, irreversibly, without any doubt or question permitted killed off. Then humiliated, first by the skull-ona-stick angle, then by the ludicrous Fabius-clones story, and finally by aforementioned daemonic bs. Then just to add insult to injury GW-main used the new FW fluff to take a big steamy dump on the fluff and character of the 40K Iron Hands chapter.
By contrast the Salamanders get their own trilogy, a major role in the Imperium Secundus storyline, and Vulkan not only isn't killed off, he now literally cannot die at all. In that context, you can perhaps understand why finding out Vulkan will be getting yet more "screen time" would provoke annoyance.

Yep, it is BS but it is certainly true. It's from the Clan Raukaan supplement.
It was at the precise moment that Ferrus Manus’ head was scythed from his shoulders by the traitor Fulgrim that the Sapphire King came in to being. Spawned from the psychic bow wave of Manus’ death, this Daemon was forged from the Primarch’s frustrated pride, his boiling anger and sorrow, and from his shame.

@Yodhrin
As somebody whose primarch was basically used for Fulgrims ascension and who had to share his book with Fulgrim and whose legion is pretty non-existant (I'm hoping that changes with the assault on Terra) I get the annoyance. At least my guy isn't dead and eventually ascends to daemonhood to brood on his own planet.
That said I don't expect it to be fair in the treatment of everyone across the board. Some are going to fall by the wayside while others get more limelight for various reasons. And the ones with authors in love with the legion or who are crucial to the story line get the majority of it. Pity there isn't a writer in love with the Iron Warriors. McNeil just uses them for his love of Ultramarines

Personally I'm just happy that we're getting stories other than "And then Vulkan sat inside a coffin whilst alive, but people didn't realise that he was alive, and so he didn't really do anything."
Also, does anyone else sorta get the impression that Vulkan is a bit like Wolverine? He's immortal, so to demonstrate that power they have him getting the crap kicked out of him all the time?

Lemartes: Guardian of the Lost
A Lords of the Space Marines story
Lemartes, the Blood Angels' Guardian of the Lost, leads the Death Company into battle on a world gripped by blood-madness that reflects his own tortured soul.
READ IT BECAUSE
Lemartes represents the dark fate of all sons of Sanguinius. Through strength of will alone, he has held back the curse in his blood, and become one of the greatest heroes of the Blood Angels' 10,000 year history. This is the first Black Library novel ever to deal with this macabre warden of lost souls – expect sombre heroics mingled with plenty of carnage
THE STORY
Lemartes is the Guardian of the Lost, a warrior of the Blood Angels who balances on the edge of madness, ever close to the grip of the Black Rage. When he is awakened to lead the Death Company into battle on the war-wracked world of Phlegethon, Lemartes must battle his incipient madness as his forces clash with equally insane foes: the blood-mad servants of Chaos.

I hadn't heard any of that new stuff about Ferrus becoming a Demon, but then again I've pretty well given up on the HH storyline with it being dragged out 10K years. I thought he had always lost his head though, could have sworn that was the old fluff. I'd rather he have become a techno-spirit or something akin to that and still be fighting the traitors by causing machine failures or having possessed a Titan or something. I always thought the chance of them reuniting his head and body would have rebooted his Psyche and he would return during the end times. Oh well, that's another chapter that I started that will get redone into a different form now .

Ferrus doesn't become a daemon or daemon prince anymore than the Eldar become a god when Slaanesh was born. Its a terrible interpretation of the blurb about the birth of the Sapphire King.
Its still terrible fluff, but terrible fluff has always went hand(ahem) in hand with the Iron Hands.
"We've been given superhuman bodies built by the techno-science of a God or God-like being, but its defective and or inadequate. Pay no mind to the fact that we and our brother legions damn near conquered the galaxy(and continue to do so) with these superhuman bodies. We're going to gradually replace all the weak fleshy parts with machine parts that we built, because we know better. The machine is totally perfect, but its gotta be a gradual process to completely free ourselves from the weakness of god created, galaxy conquering superhuman flesh. But creating full cybernetic non weakflesh bodies for our recruits right from the get go would be weird.
We're still super salty that Uncle Fulgrim killed daddy, we blame Uncles Corax and Vulkan and their kids. Had they supported him, he would've killed Fulgrim. Once Fulgrim was dead, there was nothing stopping our daddy and uncles Corax and Vulkan from killing Uncles Horus, Angron, Mortarion, Night Haunter, Lorgar, Perturabo and possibly Alpharius(if he was there) and all of their kids. It totally would've happened, because daddy was the best."
