For those that've read it; does Path of Heaven get any more interesting? I'm up to chapter 4 and it's just constant, unceasing bolterporn so far. EDIT: For reference, as far as I'm concerned the best Heresy novel is, hands-down, Legion.

Yes, it gets better. It is just like Pharos = it drags first 100 pages before getting intereting and also could be 100 pages shorter without loosing anything. As to Legion it is in my top 5 of best HH books [ATS being nr1].

I do not give you a guarantee that you will enjoy it, it is still Kyme after all, but it is at least readable. I was suprised that it was so much above usuall Kyme's trash. Also Vigilator is a badass.

THE STORY
Even within the dread annals of the Horus Heresy, few events have provoked as much horror as the dropsite massacre on Isstvan V, when the Space Marines turned on their brothers in an orgy of slaughter. The Legions were torn apart, the civil war spiralling outwards to all corners of the Imperium, shattering the trust that once bound them together. Along with a handful of other renegade Death Guard legionaries, ex-Deathshroud Terminator Sergeant Khorak has begun to raid the fringes of the Imperium - until they are cornered by mysterious warriors in crudely painted black armour, led by another fallen son of Mortarion, the Blackshield Crysos Morturg.
