According to my research, the Tau have achieved both maximum fuel efficiency AND the same raw power as Imperial flamers. I would not discount them so easily.
According to my projections, however, both types of flamer are terrible methods of cooking meat for the purposes of consumption.

[Rolls eyes] You guys are talking to a Space Marine, who literally recycles his own body waste back into food, I don't think he cares if his meat is cooked or not. Certainly not the second time.
Edit: JameGang, I just donated because I like the forum, I wasn't really sure what it did.. The noticeable perk is there's three somewhat social little forum subsections at the top now, and if I didn't already have adblock, no adverts.
Apart from the KS adverts that permeate everything anyway.

Salamanders flamers are far superior then the pathetic xenos hand flamer!
OOC: salamanders do have special ability for flamers which allow them to reroll wounds and they can also get to reroll all saves vs flame weapons.

Hmmm, where to start barbequeing?
OOC:Vulkan gives them reroll on melta guns but chapter tactics state all flame weapons reroll wounds plus reroll saves and all "characters" have one mastercrafted weapons.
