*Her red and black eye constricts and her breathing jumps*

Hanna: I... I... N-no I can't. I-if I do... I don't know if I-I would b-be able t-to c-c-control myself...

Considering that my own brother was threatened by it, I'd say that you should probably divulge why your own kind are trying to kill you. There's few enough of you as is, and you xenos protect each of your own like they were your children.

Of course. Most humans ARE utter b******* 90% of the time, I've had a few hundred years to deal with them, and I can confirm that most of them are jerks.

...she wasn't irritating, even when telling me to dig trenches with a laser projector, into hard-packed vacuum-hardened ice... must have been the shiny black leather cold weather uniform. Always was a fan of the Federation officer coats... when they had them.

And you probably never will. Barring war or disease taking me, I can possibly live to hit ten thousand years old, and I very well intend to live to be that old.
*gives him another dangerous look at the mention of the command staffer*
I've also met a few who were better than most, but most humans nowadays are just not worth the genetic material that makes them up.

That sounds like the sort of thing that needs a "back in my day" corollary, don't you agree?

*"Innocent" wink*

I intend to live... however long I can. I've already lived... six times longer than most people can be expected to. I don't intend on dying, and when I do die for the last time, it will be a worthy death. Three hundred fifty plus years has hardly left a mark!

Although when I finally start getting up towards Eldrad's age, I really hope that I don't start getting up to the same BS that he is. I mean, for the love of Khaine, the man summoned a new God of the Dead for my race! He nearly broke Biel-Tan in half!

Oh, stop it, you.

I certainly hope so. The current progression of events has become utterly nonsensical. I'm expecting a Mechanicus civil war between the traditionalist idiots and Cawl, any day now. Guilliman was... unexpected, as well.

Apparently that was part of the plan as well, although what Rowboat Girlyman has to do with Ynnead is beyond my comprehension. But then again, I haven't examined the skein of fate in, what has it been, 5 years now? And I don't intend to ever again. Although a civil war between your Mechanicus factions is concerning to me, as that just might break the Imperium in two

It's... already broken. There's an enormous warp rift across the goddamned galaxy. I fear this is the end of the Imperium, but humanity shall endure. I know that I will.

As for the Room, I have no idea what they've been up to. I could have my Ranger friend take a few of her friends and pop in there through a Webway gate and see what's going on if you like.

My Kind? What would you know of my kind? You have so little understanding of that about which you speak, you are as a child. Your inability to interpret meaning is base even for your kind. The action of an assassin does not betray an intent to reveal information, usually quite the contrary.
My welcome here has never been, nor have I wished to stay, nor is my kind even aware that I am not alone. I suggest that you take your minuscule mental capacity, and - to use a human term - shove it where the sun don't shine.

The only greater meaning you need to be aware of is your own.
