for those wondering, iron breaker are still in the codex, and longbeard and hammerer have heavy armour, while ironbreaker has gromgil. Hammerer have 2 attacks. Suposedly, all heads and weapons in the kit are unique

same stats as a dwarf lord, but with +1 ws and stubborn. He can double his attack once per game (revenge incarnate)
waepon has asf and +1 to wound
magic shield has 4+ ward save and imminue to all sort of killing blow

tehy mention that few can wisthand him in a challege because of his ancestral grudge and revenge incarnate. They don't say what ancestral grudge his, but a little fluff text at the end of the mag, under this name says that dwarf hate greenskins and ratmen equally, so i guess they now also hae hatred agaisnt skaven

Well, I feel totally vindicated. From the very first post, I was the only person that felt the hammerers were good looking models, but the naysayers shot me down in flames!

These new pictures vindicate my stance. Me 1 Dakka 0

One nil, one nil, one nil, one nil...

Yes, the price, as usual, is ridiculously high, but seeing as I wasn't going to be buying them anyway

Very impressed by the design, coming off the back of the impressive looking Dark Elf models, that's two in a row for GW's fantasy releases. If only they could sort out the price.

Exactly, the longbeard variation looks quite nice, the hammerers still look mega-derpy to me.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

I feel that they could have tried a lot harder on the basic dynamic feel of the poses. Not really a reason to order from GW when avatars of war dwarves are superior.

So now they have crap rules AND cant claim they make the best models in the world.

The longbeards are better than any of the AoW infantry, and aren't made from an overly fragile material.

Ok, how do you propose they make them dynamic in such a way that they can easily be ranked up?

Haha . To be fair, your earlier point is also right, the Hammerers look much better to me in the newer pics that have come out since the first ones.

The general assumption is that the book is coming out the second half of Feb. We should know more when the second WDW comes out.

WUUURRRRT? Two attacks on hammerers? That's pretty exciting. Also, really like the idea that Skaven would be included in the ancestral grudge. Very excited to see the book.

Damn, I was hoping the Hammerers and Longbeards would have better than a 5+ armour save. It's pretty absurd that they're wearing more metal than a Panzer III, yet they only count as heavy armour. I hope the army special rules give Dwarf armour some more resilience, because at present, heavy armour isn't that useful against most things you commonly see on the table.

2 attack Hammerers are nice though.

I hope the weapon and shield have those abilities through runes, rather than being magic in their own right (i.e. they're magic items, not runed ones). I might be reading too much into this though.

Hatred against Skaven is awesome, about bloody time. Mind you, you tend to only get to fight Skavenslaves, but still nice to have it.

Same here mate. I don't want my disciplined, well-drilled Dwarven infantry cartwheeling and leaping across the battlefield. Walking deliberately in well-formed ranks with their weapons at the Port Arms position is perfect. Just before they start pulping skulls and caving in chest cavities....

I heard from my store guys GW rep that the new Dwarfs have stat cards, and with no Book so that makes me think the whole 9th ed no books and 1 book to rule them all thing may not be far off.

I doubt they are going to drop the books that would kill $50 to $60 per dwarf player GW would loose out on. They might have rules in the Dwarf but a army book should still come out later.

I agree that it seems odd, but it just came off as very confirmed stat cards and that leads me to believe no Dwarf book which then further leads me to believe no books. However maybe there was a misunderstanding and they meant something else I have no clue I am just relaying the rumor since it seemed intriguing.
