On Reddit, Wizkids recently announced D & D: Attack Wing. Based upon what I read, it appears to be dragon on dragon combat. Hmmm...so what does everyone think? Wizkids is supposed to reveal more about it in March.

I'd almost get the starter at least.

Love the X Wing game, not played Attack Wing as I'm not so much of a fan of the Trekverse.

Dragons are cool, if its actually Dragonlance, I might just lose my head!

Hmm... if it's just X Wing with dragons I will probably pass. Needs a different mechanic to provoke my interest.

The thing is, for me, X-Wing revitalized the rule system and drew a huge crowd. Attack Wing, in addition to using MOST of the same rules also poached part of the name. Now WizKids is riding FFG's success even further in borrowing more on that success. I'm not sure how I feel on it, although dueling dragons in midair could be kinda awesome. I guess I'll form a decision when it comes out and let the inner struggle continue.

I'd guess it would have to have a melee component. Plus there are tons of options for different classes, spells, items, and monsters.

If there's a straight up Dragonlance set, I'm in for the wing.

Which could be dragons... Or it could also be a dungeon based game using dials to decide hidden movement/combat.

Maybe they'll make a giant Wyrm coming out of a cave so we can have the millennium falcon escape.


if theres enough variation in dragons then I might be inclined to play. Oddly enough I'm not a big star wars fan but I got into X-wing over attack wing though I am a huge star trek fan.

I'd be on board if it was Spelljammer instead of dragons. But an interesting melee mechanic could make me change my mind.

I thought that was just concerning new line regular DnD miniatures for RP purposes? Heard nothing about them being used for specific games.

Also: If the Dragon's thing is close enough system wise to X-wing, I'd be tempted to do some cross over actually. A Y-wing on a bombing run of a dragon nest or something I'v been looking for a "right" sized Arwing as it is.

Hmm... this really makes me wonder. I thought that Battlefront/Gale Force 9 has the official D&D miniatures cornered... I'm guessing that combining the game and a different scale provides enough gap for this license. I'm hoping that their paints/inks are better on the dragons than on the Star Trek ships... but I'm not hoping too much.
