Huskblade. While yeah, it doesnt give you plusses to strength, AP2 AD strikes at initiative is going to be better than karadras's claw in the majority of situations when dealing with things that can kill you back. Give it to anything mounted on a TW cav or S5+ and he will rip through any model in the game.

Dawnblade SU* AP2 Melee, Armourbane that strikes at initive.

*and the only reason for this IMO is that it is on a S5 model.

Looking at "best" as damage output, speed, abilities, and cost...I would have to probably say the Necron Gauntlet of Fire. S5 AP4 Flamer that allows you to reroll hits and wounds in close combat...all for the low price of 5pts.

The Warscythe is great and extremely menacing if you're looking at going against other ICs but being able to do rerolls is huge. Between the 2, it turns into a choice of which is more important to you; accuracy via rerolls to hit AND wound or quality of the hits thanks to AP2.

Now if we are including any wargear - I'd have to say Mindshackle Scarabs. I don't care if you have a black mace or the most powerful weapon in the game. I'll still make you hit yourself with it then find the next target.

Blood Reaver. The manliest weapon out there.
Wielded by Gabriel Seth, it's a S8 chainsword with Rending (striking at I).

And this is technically Seth's rule, but I'd count it as the weapons's special rule:
Instead of normal attacks, you may choose to make a single auto-hit to every enemy your in CC with.

Not the best. But the most awesome-ish-ish-ess.

Oh xD I've not been near the Inquisitors Codex, nor have I seen/heard of any of the rules or wargear.. Around here if it's not hardback and available in the FLGS, it may as well not exist.

I believe duct's point was that C:GK is a softback codex. >>

Well yes, if you ignore the fact that it's unwieldy and striking at I1 doesn't bother you at all.
And isn't eviscerator basically a Chainfist with different name?

The key difference is that you need Terminator Armour or better to wield a Chainfist. Anyone can pick up an Eviscerator and swing it around.

That and the fact most things that can take Eviscerators are I3, so we're striking last anyway against most things that count.

Upon asention to demonhood Gorechild was gifted to Kharn.

Warscythe. +2 strength, AP1, Armorbane, and most importantly not unwieldy. On any character in the game it would be an unbelievable weapon and, for the cost, is easily the best melee weapon.
