Does anyone happen to have a photo of the 15mm scale Dreamforge Titan next to some of the GW Kits, say a contemport, Riptide, Wraithknight, etc....?

Would love to see that!

I took a few with a riptide next to the 28 mm version here

http://spacemarinecowboys.blogspot.com/2014/02/dreamforge-leviathan-crusader-build.html?m=1

the comparison is scary lol

That is the 28mm & Riptide comparison.... Let us see the 15mm DF & Riptide side by side....

Rapid-fire is just in the name as a justifiction as to why the battle cannon fires at ordnance 2. And fixed that for you up above.

I'm mainly interested in this because it means that GW might incorporate the old Eldar Knights models into the range (scaled up and updated, of course). I know that they've already got the Wraithknight model out now, but a 28mm Bright Stallion would probably be one of the coolest looking figures out there.

I'm pretty sure they mentioned the Bright Stallion in White Dwarf when the Wraithknight came out. I seem to remember something about a 4-legged Eldar construct not meshing well with the current aesthetic, so instead they made the WK, based on the Wraithlord or Eldar Titan style.

What a cop-out. "Current aesthetic" for the Eldar would involve a Wraithknight with anti-grav engines instead of legs.

On a more serious note, there's nothing wrong with it not being quite "right". The old Eldar Knights aren't built by the craftworlds. They're built and used by the Exodites, who then loan them out to the Craftworlds when needed. There's none of that absurdity about a soulstoned twin. It shouldn't be a surprise that they look a bit different than the rest of the Eldar army.

So has there been a consensus on if the Large Plasma blast or the 2 ordinance blast Knight is the better kit? 5 points its 5 points

It's probably fairly irrelevant

With a D strength melee weapon and a huge superheavy explosion when destroyed you want them in close combat deep in enemy lines as soon as possible

In the Dwarf on page 30 you see a Binary code AdMech transmission.

though that it might contain hidden information or something, do i did go through the trouble to put it in a Binary translator.

It just says Hail! the Omnimessiah!.

Nice touch, but a bit dissapointed.

Disappointing like using the secret decoder ring and translating "Don't forget to drink your Ovaltine!"

I have to give GW credit they could have put in "Don't forget to buy more stuff!"

Do we know who can the freeblade knights ally with? Can I take them in my Chaos armies? Or maby even some xeno armies like Tau and stuff?
O.o

(A proper rule set for chaos knights would be preferable, but i won't complain!)

The ebook goes up for preorder on the 22nd. I expect the ebook available for download a week after that. The printed book (and I expect a printed book as this supports a new model kit) would be available about three months later (if the ebook/printed book pattern used for supplements holds true).

Yeah, that was my thought as well. Black will also go reasonably well with my Imperial Guard and/or Space Wolves. Though blue looks kind of cool too, hmmm, decisions, I suck at them, lol.

two answers come to mind.

1: Buy two. so you can do differnt painting types.
2: read the background and paint up the one whose fluff is the best.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

This will be easy enough to buy 1 kit & magnetized the right arm weapon, so you can play test both options & change arm when facing different foes...best of both worlds.... Now just to convert chainsword 2x bigger...

1.) Just for the record, in case some people missed it: The smaller (DIN A 5) decal sheet is included in the kit, the bigger (DIN A 4) sheet is the extra for 20$.
2.) We will probably see conversion kits and alternative arms from Forge World. They usually do such things.
3.) This is what you get from Warmachines for almost exactly the same price (5$ less, 120mm base):

So I've scanned the last few pages.

And no comments on...

"...say Jervis Johnson, his deep sonorous voice filling the White Dwarf hobby room as he speaks."

I mean, we're just going to let that one go?

We're okay with that?!?

They're describing how JJ is describing something?

Saw that and it made me chuckle.

I have never heard audio of Jervis Johnson, but that description makes me think of Barry White singing a love song to the Knight model. Maybe I'll put some Barry White on while I unbox this model--you know, while I am playing with my bits and such.

Are those essentially chaos centurions? Either way they look pretty cool.

Seems the thread as run its course as the WD in question has been leaked in its entirety, and it is a really good looking model.

I know, right? The snark is uncalled for, Breotan- almost everybody recognizes that GW nailed this model, it's just a question of cost for many people. I'll definitely be getting one at some point

I'm neither for, nor against GW. I like the game, enjoy it with my friends, and the hobby in general in extremely calming and a great way to relax and unwind after a stressful day.

That said, I too will be getting my 'welfare titan' at some point in the nearish future. I want another big model to paint up after I finish the Shadowsword I've got waiting in the wings off.

It's a great looking model and I for one am very much looking forward to getting my hands on it and painting it up.

Just my thoughts. Take it easy.

I think its a fine kit, one of the best releases they have had in recent memory, but obviously I am a walker fan.

If it turns out the weapons are hot swap in design..... you are welcome
