I'm sure you'll find a rather big group of Chaos Space Marines, including Veterans of the Long War, to be much more satisfying!

For some reason that's not very Reassuring. Wait, aren't haywire grenades just EMP? I have a plasma reactor, nothing to EMP.
Oh well, I'm going back to the thread give me a minute.

There we go.
I figure to give it some balance the Plasma cannon will take 5(?) seconds to charge before discharging.
Also, what I just did must have hurt a lot. Like, alot.

Would you guys mind if I threw in another character? I've been knocking an idea for a Word Bearers lord around that I want to play. Besides, we clearly need more Chaos Marines.

Ah, can we add another lonely loyalist? My armour will probably not survive sustained fir efrom the 15-odd traitors running around.

Whelp, your guys still have some Stormies to help you. Hot shot Lasguns/Volley Guns are decent at killing marines. I'm just going to hold my Word Bearers back if and when my Stormies bite it. It gets awkward to roleplay two opposing characters.

Sigh, almost everyone is in power armuor or better! What do you expect a poor, half naked Wych to do again these kinda people, Flirt them to death

Just wanted to ask, how would you lot think i should handle the shadowfield? It's fickle by nature but it is still a very powerful shield. I am not sure how i would write it to absorb the enertgy of an entire plasma cannon bolt, i simply can't picture it even though with a 2++ I will happen 5/6 times.

So when you think you're going to kind of kill another person's character do you, like, ask first? 'cause, ah, if Alex agrees one of my terminators will probably step on the dark eldar before sqying something suitable. Or is she going to be rescued?

No, it's perfectly acceptable to put someone in a killing situation for the other person to act out the death for example ''Merric simply stepped forward and raised his armoured boot, preparing for it to crash down on the Xenos head.'' That way there is a slim possibility for the 'divine intervention' that every player gets one of (see first post of RP thread) if i decide to use it, but i foresee trouble in the future so i might very well save it for later.

#Edit Just to give a rundown of the Archon's weapons so people are not surprised later. Putting in game stats to help you imagine their effects.

Huskblade (S user AP 2 Instant Death): Looks like a bone blade with smoke pouring off it, if it hits home it sucks all the moister up and leaves someone as a dried up husk,
Blast Pistol (S 8 Ap 2 Pistol, Lance) Very powerful, if short range, pistol. Can conceivably punch a hole in a landraider, terminators beware!
Shadowfield. 2++ invul until it is failed, then it needs to be recharged, semi-sentient. Will fail under a lot of fire power or at 'inopportune times'.
Soultrap. Does what it says on the tin.
Plasma Grenades.
(Found) Displacer Ring. Yet another 3++ invul, but when it's passed the wearer is teleported somewhere random. Teleport and be 'steered' due to mind link.

Incubi

Warsuit. 3+ save. Much less bulky then even Marine armor, barely inhibits DE natural speed and reflexes. Can deflect small arms fire.
Klaive. Big ass sword. Str +1 Ap 2 at initiative. What makes this guy deadly.
Tormentor. Psykic torture device. Sends waves of psykic agony in a wave in front of the charging Incubus, used to incapacitate enemies.

I know DE are not the most well known of armies, thought the 'skinny' on each might be helpful. If you have anything fancy that others might not know what it does (Harlequin Scare mask, Daemonicly possessed battle suit, lucky belt buckle....) then a run down might be nice,

Just a couple of questions before I move on --

Would it be alright for my little trio to split up?

Is the Inquisitor still alive? The last we saw, he was fired on by the stormtroopers but I don't know if they lucked out or not.

Also, in-game I know there's a 48 hour count-down for Exterminatus. Out of game, how long are we going to say that'll be?

Out-of-game the game master Thepowerfulwill will decide when the time is out. He also decides if the Inquisitor lives. You may split up if you wish.

And poor AlexisAwesome, now you don't have a lot of soldiers left!

Putting out full equipment lists are a good idea.

My Marines all have frags, kraks, bolt pistols and bolters, as well as chainswords. The exception is Karnus the Plague Champion, who carries a Bile Spewer (A weapon that fires the digestive juices of Nurgle in a slooshing torrent) and a Zombie Plague-infected Power Sword.

I already partially did this, but.. 'ere we go.

Chaos Lord/Iron Warriors Company Captain Gavriel Vrakul: Terminator armor, power axe, combi-bolter (melta), frag/krak grenades, melta bomb.
Chaos Terminator Aspiring Champion Torador: Terminator Armor, power fist, combi-bolter (melta), frag/krak grenades.
Legionaire Rorke: Power Armour, bolter, frag/krak grenades, chainsword.
Unnamed legionaire: Power Armour, bolter, frag/krak grenades, chainaxe.

I have a feeling that unnamed Legionaire is the kinda person that will be one jumping in front of the main character to take a Rail Rifle shot to the chest Poor Scrub.

Me and Will are both down to two characters, His Chaos lord Tau and Pathfinder and My Incubus of Awesome and Archon Xilian. Has any other characters died yet? I know a Plague Marine i walking around with half an army an all but apart from that i'm not sure.

When did they die?

Also, Eldar has the tech to ressurect people.

And indeed, one of my Plague Marines lost an arm, but hey, it's a Plague Marine. He is not overly bothered by it and Nurgle will grant him a new one in time.

Don't worry, i won't pull something fishy, she won't be back in this RPG, you can count her as dead. But successful Dark Eldar such as famous Wyches or Archons make pacts with the Haemonculi where they leave the Haemonculi with a part of their soul and a part of their body, meaning should the Dark Eldar die in a particularly nasty real space raid the Haemonjculi can regenerate them from the parts they left behind and call the soul back to the body. As with most Dark Eldar things, this is fueled by pain, as when a Dark Eldar is exposed to the extreme pain of other things they can regenerate (hence FNP for a Pain Token). The Haemonculi are only to happy to arrange these regenerating Dark Eldar above their torture chambers, why not make a buck off of a hobby or torture?

Are there any disadvantages to terminator armour enemies can exploit? I know it provides great protection vs small arms fire, has a 'might get lucky' invul save and lets them carry heavier weaponry but apart from that i don't know over much about it. Does it impede how fast the Marines are? Does it need batteries? I know the mechanics, i just don't know the fluff.

They are really big and bulky. You could easily outmaneuver them if you got the skills. They also have to go single file through narrow (Read: Normal sized) corridors allowing for good ambushing opportunities.

You could also do what people do in game and drown them in Plasma/Rending/Melta fire.

They are significantly slower then Normal space marines, but they're still fairly fast.
The biggest weakness is the joints, which are still as tOugh as power armour.
Also, aw with that shot.

Terminator armor mainly decreases walking/running speed. Certain weapons can make them much slower, too, but a terminator with, say, a Power Sword and Storm Bolter wouldn't b much slower (with still striking at initiative and all).

I also recall Catapractii armor not hampering movement at all, but those suits are virtually non existant among loyalists, and very rare among traitors.
