My Son plays BA... I think it is really simple, fix assault... Treat Reserves and Deep Strike moves as a proper movement phase and allow them to shoot or Run and then Assault just like any other unit would do after their movement/shooting phase.
I think Overwatch and rolling for Charge distance are fine. (Although I'm famous for failing a 3 inch charge.)
Oh and give Dante Eternal warrior... Points drop across the board for similar C:SM units and call it done...
The first change would fix all Codex SM's and should be done to balance the game against the TauDar shooty armies...

Yes, It would but we have a similar thread regarding the BRB reboot that may come this year...
(Not that I expect any happy results one way or another, just wishful thinking.)

We gotta concentrate all our efforts on building a time machine to go back and stop Tau from ever being conceived thereby solving the Taudar problem for good. At this look it's the only real way to balance they game.
That or hammer of wrath for the whole army.

My most common oppinent is DA, with most others being a form of marines as such have actually never used that power...
You know FotD still works on Marines with ATSKNF ? They auto-rally next turn, but still run if they fail that morale check at -2.
I used FotD to make Khan and a White Scars command squad run/drive off the board in my last game, giving me First Blood and Warlord. Much fun
FotD, along with Corbulo, is one of the best things about BA right now.

Some good ideas in this thread, I've got a few ideas tha have already been mentioned but I'll mention them again, just so we can do a virtual high-five for 'great minds'. Here we go:
Sergeants getting the option to upgrade to priests. This would solve the problem of having a full squad in a transport with a priest, the down sie is obviously you'd lose the LoS of 2+ and only have a LoS of 4+ as it wouldn't be an IC. Alteratively allow squads to take either 2 specials or a special/heavy at 5 mansquad size so we can and a 9man squad with upgrades in a transport with a priest. This obviously applies more to tac squads where I'd rather have the option to take 2 specials so I don't have the heavy skowing me dowwn (against my philosophy of BA being a fast mobile army.) but still having the option to take heavies if you ever to build a unit that can sit back and offer shooting support.
I have a fix to make our marine more durable vs mid strentgh rate of fire pain:
Bound in Blood: Any unit with a Sang priest that is within 6" and can draw line of sight to another unit (or thier transport if they're embarked) containing a Sang priest will have their feel no pain roll improved by 1 this is cumlative with multiple units containing priests to a maximum of 2+.
Thus much more durable to still vunerable to things like S8 or better, especially high strength low ap template weapons as everyone will have to be bunched up closer to try and maximise the FNP.
Next I'll solve the assault vehicle problem:
Explosive Assault: At the end of the controlling players assault phase he may use the explosive assault rule to 'blow the hatches' on any of his rhinos. These rhinos in the following turn will be 10/10/10 but gain both the open topped and shouded special rule.
So essentially if you survive you can move and charge out of the vehicle and if it gets destroyed you can still charge out of the wreckage. Win/win.
Since I'd like to see all our dreads rolled into one slot and the different varients are treatdd as upgraded (all front av13 too would be nice) I'd also want the dreads to be like in 30k where you can get 3 per slot but they're fielded individually.
Keep our own powers and access to the brb ones.
Relentless upgrade for devs (again I'm wanting the option of mobile units)
Fast Vehicles as an upgrade rather than built in cost (who needs a fast whirlwind). I like the idea of fast land raiders at the cost of a hull point,but to be honest I'd take a 13/13/13 LR if it wast.
Improve side armour on baals, normal pred, and vindis
Access to Land Speeder Storms for Assault Marines
Some cool relics
Cheaper upgrades for DC
Cheaper Land Raiders (we're meant to have lots so making them a bit cheaper would better representtthat on te table)
Somethig interesting for our bikes
Yeah I'm just wishlisting now, so I'll stop.
