jeepers... if firing it werent so annoying that would be cool as to use. in terms of power i think we found a winner. No armour, cover and hiding from it and its got the highest S and AP.

The R'vana cannons are pretty nice. Multiple blasts at high strength that hit big things multiple times.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

While not the best, the Vindicare with his sniper rifle is pretty good.

Well, it's not a cannon, but the deathstrike missile is S10 Ap1 ignores cover extra-large blast.

And the colossus isn't a cannon either, it's a mortar. Just saying.

Oh, then yeah, outside of superheavies, it's the deathstrike.

When you get into the world of apocalypse, you can upgrade the deathstrike with vortex missiles. An extra-large blast weapon that's S "removes from play" Ap "everything it touches, including terrain" sounds like it would be hard to be bested.

It even leaves behind a vortex...

Its an apoc thing, for the old apoc, you could probably wing it in the new one, depends with who you're playing.

Also it's Ordnance, so you roll 2D6 and pick the highest for penetration, with S10 AP2, it will glance/pen AP14 on anything but snake eyes.

Or a 1, 2/ 2, 1/ 2, 2/ 2, 3/ 3, 2/ 3, 1/ 1, 3 or 3, 3.

Sorry, my mistake, was adding +2 to the wrong thing, lol. Yeah, it has a 75% chance to glance/pen, then if it pens, it has a 50/50 chance of getting "explodes". But still, the most powerful projectile I believe.

The Knight Errant's weapon is slightly more deadly, since it's melta, but the Deathstrike has a much larger blast. The Knight's Thermal Cannon is a 5" template, the Deathstrike is between 8 and 12".

The OP said: "not including the novels or games or apocalypse or anything I mean just the regular 40k game."

So I think that disqualifies anything in Stronghold or Escalation as well.

Except escalation and stronghold assault ARE normal 40k.

Its a misconception a lot of people make.

Yes but its blatantly clear what the OP is asking... which is the point im making. Everyone else was smart enough to answer sensibly.

What is the strongest non-D Strength weapon? Then I would have to say the Deathstrike missile,

I simply answered correctly. If he did not want D strength guns, he should have specified.

You where being annoying. Shutup.

If that was the answer I can guarantee that it would have been answered in post 1.

Annoying? Hardly. I answered with what i think is the strongest cannon in normal games. That was what you were wondering about, yes?

Double post.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I read the OP perfectly fine. Escalation and Stronghold Assault are both part of normal 40k, so i chose the cannon which i thought was the strongest.

I dont see what is so rage inspiring about that.

The strongest non-D weapon is probably the Plasma Annihilator or Hellstorm Cannon, depending on preference. The strongest weapon outside of supplements and add-ons is the Deathstrike Missile.
