from the Antenocitis Workshop blog
The Governance of Technology (G.O.T.) range of scenery and figures have proven very successful for us, however, as part of a significant change designed to enable us to offer greater support to our partners, the 28mm Governance of Technology range of figures & scenery will cease production in April 2014 and be phased-out completely by June 2014.
This includes all 28mm figures (TPEA, NRF, TPF and civilians) and all 28mm scenery elements within the current G.O.T. catalogue, as well as our 28mm “Generic Sci-fi” scenery elements. It also includes all robots and walkers such as the WAW Sentry drone and the Komodo.
These items will remain in production until April 2014 so long as appropriate moulds remain viable for them; however, should production moulds reach the end of their life we will not be making new moulds, so some popular items may go out of production sooner.
In the meantime scenery tailored for specific games (such as Mantic’s ‘Deadzone’ game) will become available for purchase from our store, as will products tailored for other games systems yet to be announced. These new items will be partial or complete re-designs of G.O.T. models but at this point in time we do not have a definitive list of what products will re-emerge and what products will not.
As such some items may no longer be available in their current format once we get past April 2014, so if you want a specific set of current scenery we recommend that you purchase these as soon as possible.
Similarly if you wish to purchase any of our 28mm figures then we recommend doing so as soon as possible, and at least before April 2014 to be certain of getting what you want.
Please note:
We will make a further announcements regarding 28mm G.O.T. vehicles at a later date, however, major changes within that range are not anticipated.
This announcement does not affect 15mm G.O.T. figures, scenery or vehicles, or plans for the same in 6mm.
None of the 28mm G.O.T figures, G.O.T scenery, or any of the Generic Sci-fi Scenery items that will be discontinued, will be available for purchase by other parties.
The GOT vehicles will still be around, but the figures and terrain are going away. Which sucks. AW makes some of the coolest terrain bits around, and the GOT figures are fantastic and some of the only sci-fi civilians around. Extremely sad to see these going away, I'm really hoping it's all going to be re-released as the new kickstarter project AW has in the pipeline *crosses fingers* but it sounds more like they're cutting out production on their own line to concentrate on producing for other companies. Understandable from a business perspective, but sad from a consumer (and fan) perspective.

Considering Antenocitis keeps dropping hints about working with Corvus Belli--and the bigger direction that "Infinity" seems to be taking?
100% fine with it.

Huh, that's a shame. I was holding off on a scenery order because one of the items I wanted was out of stock.. but I guess it probably isn't going to come back in stock before the line is discontinued. :(
The optimist in me wants to believe that they are going to be producing a Mass Effect line in partnership with another company.. but yes the CB thing seems a little more likely. I wonder if that means the dropship concepts we've seen are actually going to yield 'official' Infinity vehicles?

I already had all the figures I needed but I want a load more of the generic SF scenery items like doors and air scrubbers and stuff. They are really good for adding detail to scratchbuilt scenery, and almost no-one else makes that kind of thing.
I'm glad for Anteoniciti's business success but I hope they will continue with some kind of SF detailing parts.

Antenociti's interior terrain (chairs, med-lab stuff, computer consoles, etc.) has been an absolute God-send for the 40K RPG's. There's so much fantasy stuff out there, but not a huge amount of sci-fi stuff.
I hope their new ranges continue this trend.

Most if the resin scenery will become part of the Deadzone terrain line (as most of it is performing double duty for DZ), and of course, the big speculation is if Antenociti's will be designing Mantic's vehicles for the Warpath KS launch Q4 2014/Q1 2015.

That makes me feel a bit better, hopefully some of the GOT figures get rolled into DZ/Warpath too. HBM is correct in that there is precious little terrain greebles and detailing bitlets out there, but there is also a large lack of decent sci-fi civilians. Plenty of fantasy and modern ones thanks to zombie survivor genre, but precious few sci-fi ones. They're absolutely great for RPGs and sci-fi dungeoncrawlers (spaceship-crawlers?) and narrative miniature games. Corvus Belli has just now started releasing a few civvies, but they're expensive and while I don't mind the cheesecake factor, i don't like having every single tech being pinup girl.

Apologies forgot the skulls part, I think the years I am not actively been involved with GW show.
On topic, Antenocity building the vehicles for mantic sound great, but Mantic's sculpting needs to go up a bit to reach his level, both on detail and quality.
While I am at it what will that mean for his acquisition for rights for Sttheo artwork? I really wanted to see the helldivers miniatures.

Gutted. I can't, for the life of me, think why they would remove something from sale that really occupies an almost unique place in the market - i.e. miniatures of similar proportion and aesthetic to Corvus Belli's own Infinity range. And, especially considering what the production costs of those miniatures must have been, versus the cost of keeping them on sale.
Some of their vehicles are awesome as well, and again their is not much out there that matches the similar style. I know some of their resin APCs are popular with Imperial Guard players for instance.
I can only think that there is some kind of exclusivity deal at play here. Corvus Belli are known for bringing other companies on board, have done it extensively with terrain producers, and perhaps hopefully there might be some kind of realisation (finally) of Infinity as so many of us have always imagined - of the combat taking place between spec-ops teams in amongst a living and breathing world.

Did they ever come out with the dropships/VTOLs they previewed last year? I don't see them on their catalog order page unless I missed them. I'll be sad to see them go as their stuff had a very nice look to it. If I didn't generally swear off buying "generic" minis years ago (and by generic I mean not for use in a specific game I currently play and not a reference to the design aesthetics), I'd have bought a bunch.

They did not. But when the subject was brought up in the Infinity thread not too long ago I got the impression it was still on the cards. My (wishful) thinking is they are going to show up in the next Infinity book

...As actual battlefield entities, of which a model would be useful? I assumed we'd be talking several units, substantial size, significant upheaval of the current rule set - you know, worth actually getting a €60+ model (which these certainly will be) for, any more than it is now - more than just as some different pretty scenery.
Technically you're right though, we have off-battlefield entities referred to as dropships for fluff reasons. Maybe I was reading too much into it.

Hah, I'm sure AW are already reading this but couldn't possibly comment. As for dropships having some sort of presence in the next book, I can't help but recall comments from the O12 podcast and perhaps snippets from Bostria that something Pretty Exciting is coming. A new book with more sectorials is a forgone conclusion at this point but just as Paradiso introduced the campaign system, I can't help but wonder if the gimmick in the next book is going to be something that revolves around vehicles.. but perhaps implemented in a more abstract way.

Someone asked him either here or on the Infinity forum about "when can we put a Gecko into an AW dropship?" and AW laughed it off saying "I can't talk about that for awhile yet, probably April"...which incidentally is when Corvus Belli/Infinity O-12 have been saying that "something exciting is coming".

Great bit of sleuthing Kan. Some of the designs for those dropships were amazing, would be interested to see what the models would turn out like (and also how they are represented in the rules!)

The vehicles were really the only products of theirs I was interested in, so I think I can hold off impulse buying a bunch for now. The hints CB and AW have been dropping are really intriguing. Unfortunately, I can't see anything they do together not get met with a wall of 'CB are just trying to bilk us with these awesome models' complaints. The simple act of introducing a 400pt game type got pretty messy. But seriously, adding dropships would be awesome. Bonus points if they add APCs as well to make proper use of those 'Mechanised deployment' units.
