It won't be. EA doesn't really do much in the way of system exclusives. This is EA/DICE we're talking about, who haven't had a game restricted to one system since the old PC only Battlefield games in the early-mid 2000s.

It's called a "teaser". It came out not long after Lucasarts was closed down for good and was a way of announcing that they got the rights for the game.

after the bungling of battlefront 4 I'm finding it hard to muster any excitement

but fingers firmly crossed

I realize its a teaser. I just hope production goes quickly on this. I was a big fan of the first battlefront and hope they bring back the style from that game. 2 was meh and while fun I didn't like it as much as the first.

That's a good way to put it, but Titanfall isn't system exclusive. It's on 360, Xbox One, and PC. I played the beta on PC and had a blast!

Considering Battlefront is a (very fun, I might add) Battlefield knockoff and now they actually have the Battlefield guys working on it, my hopes are high.

I'm disappointed by the lack of 15mm Space Opera toy soldier news that the title of this thread offered.

I hope the OP is taken to the Dune Sea and cast into the pit of Carkoon, the nesting place of the all-powerful Sarlacc, where in his belly, you will find a new definition of pain and suffering, as you are slowly digested over a thousand years.

Ehhhh. The 360 version was done by a different studio than Respawn and is just a way of cementing it as a "Microsoft exclusive". It's not unlike Mass Effect, which debuted on just the 360 and PC.

Heh. There should be some interesting stuff at E3 for you then.

Interesting to note as well that BF4 was primarily DICE LA rather than DICE proper, and the original plan was next-gen consoles and PC only--with the PS3 and 360 versions finishing development a matter of months before the release.

Battlefront had an April Fool's thing a year or three ago where they announced 4 upcoming projects and one was real. One of the fake ones was basically going to be Flames of Star Wars, and it bums me out so bad that that was only a joke.

May I suggest that this be moved to the Video Game board?

June? There had been a cxl of this after that, then I saw a reannouncement email from xbox, googled it, and the stories say "3 hours ago" and "16 hours ago" and so on....

1943 has 3 maps (Iwo Jima, Wake Island, Galacanal); surely it wouldn't be too hard to add in Jabba's Palace & Cloud city maps
