It's Tau so they can get away with it and it was done with an airbrush and a screen to mask with.

Yeah pretty much, sprayed yellow and orange then layed a mask out with abit of netting and sprayed liche purple over that

Well, the Rangers and Fire Dragons of my post earlier today are all done and moving off of my desk to be sealed:



Next up, a Farseer, then maybe a Falcon for this weekend.

I basically stopped playing (and painting) about 10 years ago and have recently dived in again full force. I had a bunch of Eldar I had painted for my army in the past, but I decided to start completely from scratch with a single unified color scheme (Biel-Tan). My stumbling block in the past was that I usually painted for display more than play, and always had trouble fielding a fully painted force. If Yakface happens to stumble across this, he would remember since I used to play with him so, SO long ago. This time I decided to challenge myself to aim for a table top level of painting and find the discipline to stick with it and produce an ARMY instead of a collection of figures. So far, I started painting 10 days ago, and currently have 58 models done.

That's some impressive speed

I just finished up the missile launcher and am now moving on to the power claw...

They look really good together, the paint schemes make them look like they belong to the same army despite their differences. Don't knock them off the desk whatever you do.

Airborn Smurfs!!! Almost done but still have some highlighting and detail work left to do! Then on to a Dreadnaught.

Taking a short break from painting my Ultramarines. I’ve had this guy staring at me for a while, half painted. Time to finish him off.

Thanks! And I have knocked the reaver over twice now, hopefully never again lol. I see everyone seems to have much better painting stations than I do... I just paint on my couch.

Sorry, no photos atm, but I've got the UA for my Cryx Bane Thralls unit based black with the first layer of Zenithal metallics, a Deathjack that's getting some green OSL, and a Black base-coated Venethrax.

And 4 pathfinder goblins that are based black, but haven't decided which direction they're going yet...hehehe...

It is, i had the Fantasy basies left over from my Chaos Daemons, so I decided to do something with them.

Given I have an almost 2 year old toddler, I've been painting where I can lately. I was going to make a lap tray of sorts but I sat down at the rolling kitchen island one day and she left it alone so I've been using that since. It looks a bit odd but I can roll it around and park it in the living room or kitchen and pull up a chair to paint when she's in a permissive mood

I don't have anything that I'm painting right this instance. But earlier today I primed two tactical squads, a ten man squad of Sterngaurd, 5 Vanguard Veterans, and 6 drop pods that I made from PVC.

Why thank you. Perhaps I will do just that. I might want to get my old real camera out for that though instead of all the phone pics I have taken so far.

Today's just started project so far is a single fig instead of a squad, my farseer. Hoping to finish him before dinner:

Time to go grab dinner and run errands. Tonight, after my kids are asleep, I'll probably start in on the Falcon. I have never actually painted a full size vehicle, so it'll be a COMPLETELY new experience!

Got a somewhat decent picture for scale, for those wondering, and sorry for the quality of the picture. Tonight was a good night in my group.

What IS that? It looks Khorne-y, so I'm guessing its some kind of chaos knight or titan?

This fella'. I'm being really lazy with it, but it's not far off now. Legs, lower torso, pilot and a couple more grots to go and then it's all done.

Bleakswords and Darkshards as usual. I try to keep the prospect of painting them less depressing by mixing in the new RXBs with the old warriors/shields but when that fails I'll make a start on stripping/priming the odd collection of shades, executioners and beastmasters I've picked up on eBay. There's a Dark Elf Reaper to do as well (definitely not High Elf, honest!), along with a Wych I'm converting to a lvl1 sorcerer.
