I definitely dug the strip more than the cartoon. Mcgruder can sometimes get off on tangents that stop being funny after a little bit, but a couple of the strips are some of the funniest comic strips I've ever seen. (The one where Huey tells Jasmine that she's 'blacker than Shaft in Africa' had me rollin.')
Can't say I'm overly thrilled, for the same reasons posted above. The cartoon absolutely lacks subtlety. The show is a little too proud of itself and way too often saying "Look at me! Look at how clever and EDGY I am! LOOK AT MEEEEE!"

Dude, it's on Adult Swim. It's almost ludicrously understated compared to the rest of their lineup.

Oh without a doubt. But to be fair, I stopped watching Adult Swim like...3 or 4 years ago.
