Ummm…. can't recall the year but he is the Black Orc fantasy war boss from one of the gamedays. He is a limited edition black ork and came with a grot posing similarly.
I stuck a two handed axe on his back and use him as a nob. The shield he shipped with is the belty/guy plate on the big war boss.

Once I get the codex I'm planning on getting at least 2 of the Big Guns kits. The Big Mek in Mega Armour will likely be very, very tempting if the rules for it are also good.
This isn't boycotting. This is waiting to purchase. lol.

Ah ha! I just found what didn't sit well with me about the Gorkamorkanaut! The arms and legs are clearly not attached to anything. Sure, they technically connect to the side of a piece of sheet metal, but there is absolutely nothing that would anchor them to the body, allow them to be powered or controlled. Even the entire walker itself is literally hollow (and you're supposed to see that it is hollow due the the open-able transport doors).
It is literally designed the same way a toy for a young child would be made, but with slightly sharper edges. Zero suspension of disbelief.

If it was a kit for most other races I'd agree,
but
Meks are smart enough to miniaturise all the gubbins needed for the arm/legs into the limbs themselves (if the mood takes them),
and you've got the Orky 'make stuff work, even if it's not quite right' factor too
besides if you want more cogs/cables etc you can add them yourself (and the gorkamorkanaut will probably benefit if you do)

The entire area around the "head" is dead space. It would probably look much better converted so that area was enclosed and more like the other ork walkers

Looking at the 360 on the GW site, I'm not sure I see what you're saying? Care to amplify?

Even I don't hold out much hope for my rumours. As I said when I posted them, my sources have given me a lot more false information than good in the past and seem to be getting less reliable as time goes by.
Pretty much everything on my list which could be confirmed at this point has been proven wrong. Even stuff which seemed like a statement of the bloody obvious ('at least two builds per kit') was way off the mark. Even the date was months out.
The only consolation I have is that while I may have been wrong about everything, at least I was wrong from a lot further out than most.

There's actually a big batch of engine stuff at the back, if you look at the 360*.

Yeah, it actually does look really neat. Think of it like this:
The Gorkanaut is like the mega dredd with a crew compartment attached to the from. The mechanisms of movement are all secured along the rear of the hull. Pretty neat really.

You're not wrong (though with zero suspension of disbelief I'm not sure what ork models would meet your criteria). Well, I disagree about the 'same way a toy for a young child would be made". GW put power cables running to the lights, and pistons and gears underneath to open the doors, and fuel hoses and wires going from the engine. They just managed to avoid actually installing any DRIVE TRAIN.
The arms and legs have 'worky bits' on the outside, but inside the hull, consist entirely of a gear. There's space behind the head, and in the 'upper crew' compartment of the hull, that GW could have put (or just walled off) with gubbins, but there aren't any on the outside, nor on the inside.
I would be happier if it had those, of course, but it's never bothered me too much how most killa kans walk (you pick up one leg and fall over, right), or where the engine for a battlewagon is (judging from the exhausts, it's in front of the driver's compartment, but that compartment butts up against the front grill). However, there's room in both areas for worky bits to be nailed in, if that was the only thing that bothered you about the Gorkanaut.
And, while there's a big batch of engine stuff at the back, there's no articulation for it to connect in any way to the arms and legs, unless Orks are using gears and pistons to move the limbs, but using the engine to generate electricity to power electric motors hidden within the limb assemblies to drive those gears and pistons. Not impossible, but kind of weird, even for for orks. It would be like using a battery to boil water to drive a steam engine on a train.

All these things don't bug me really. I do think the Gork/Morkanaut compares favorably to a Mr. Potato Head with the door for his bits on his front instead of his butt though.
My main issue structurally with the model is with the main gun arm. The upper arm of the model looks incredibly weak and spindly.
HOWEVER holy crap I just noticed that the Gorkanaut includes a "Gunner" ork on the back of the gun! How awesome! That Ork is posed perfectly to be looted and put onto a scratch-built buggy or some other vehicle.

FYI, they are about a head taller than GW MANZ. To me they have a distinctly improvised (i.e. more death skulls than bad moons) look compared to the MANZ, but they are nice models regardless.
And to keep this on topic, is anyone else afraid we're just getting some cool new units and no actual codex?
