So while you do make the short-list on sales it doesn't guarantee you'll win on sales alone

In theory, I'd like to say that I try and divide how I feel about an author from their work. Just because Rush is a huge toolbox doesn't mean he can't write a good book, and I haven't yet seen people throw criticism on this book for reasons other than who the author is.

In practice I have a really hard time separating the artist from their work, be it Woody Allen, Roman Polanski, R. Kelly, Orson Scott Card, and so on... but I see this as a failing. I'd like to be able to do the former but I am stuck with the latter.

Rush got nominated? Was the book about Tom Sawyer?

True. I was immensly sad to read about the whole Woody Allen scandal because I've love the man's writing and movies since my pre teen years.

Rush has an audience.

Being nominated is one thing but winning is another.

As long as the guy wrote a compelling story and had good character development.

You can not believe me all you want. but it is true.I do not like Rush, He sputs draconian values and ideas about america. He is a moron.

I thought about writing a regex in response to match "good liberal" only if it exists in the same sentence as "dead liberal"... but then i realized I was going to voluntarily write a regular expression and stopped...
