Subject: CSM Anti-Deathstar List - 2000 pts

My local gaming store is hosting a 2000 point tourney using all available rules. I'm trying to build a CSM list that will have a chance to beat some of the more common deathstars. In particular, I'm talking about Eldar/Tau/Taudar. I would also like the ability to handle super heavies, but it is not necessary. Primarily, I am interested in building a list that will give me the best chance at knocking out players who bring the cheese. I am not concerned, at all, with winning the tournament. My life will be content if I take out someone relying on a 2++ re-rollable, and so forth.
What I need is a little help building a list to do this. I am willing to add on an allied detachment, and I willing to buy additional models. Here's what I am working with:
1 Chaos Lord on Bike, options for burning brand, LC, PF, and Burning Brand.
1 Chaos Sorcerer on Bike, with Sword
8 Spawn
3 Heldrakes (magnetized)
9 Obliterators
2 Predators (all options magnetized)
2 Forgefiends/Maulerfiends (magentized)
5 Termies (not assembled yet, so all options possible)
Kharn
Typhus
Abaddon
2 Daemon Princes (1 Black Mace, 1 Sword)
Be'Lakor
ADL w/Quad and Comms
2 Sentry Defense w/Quad Las
50 Plague Marines (can be used as other CSMs)(2 w/melta, 7 w/plasma, 4 w/flamers)
3 Rhinos
2 Helbrutes
70 Cultists
With my goals in mind, what would you do? Remember, i am willing to make an allied detachment and/or buy additional units.

Damn i am jealous of your collection. On top of that you was smart to magnetize most of your vehicles.
Use puppet master on super heavies by having Belakor.
It seems as though 9 oblitz should be able to kill termi with 2+ saves but the deathstars you say have 2++ saves. U gotta go melta with that. Maybe many squads of plague marines and melta guns. U then have to force wounds by mass shots or wounds. I think you should run typhus and field 70 cultist zombies to tarpit the death stars.

Weight of dice really doesn't do anything against 2++ because only 1/36 wounds will not get saved and the cultists wont be able to tarpit a deathstar that has hit and run. They will use their ridiculous move to go right around the cultists and attack more optimal targets imo. The MSU is probably your best bet.

At 2k with DFOC you will probably want to run something like nurgle biker lord running with spawn, 2 flying DP blakor, heldrakes and then fill out troops with units of 10 cultists, and spread them out so they cannot get multi assaulted.

Did not know those death stars had hit and run.
If you do msu then spam plague marines with meltaguns in rhinos with combi meltas because melta guns are ap1. If you foot slog them then they are easily charged n locked in melee preventing your other units from shooting those engaged in melee.

Well, only "deathstars" that have HnR are seercouncil with the baron, farsight bomb if one has the upgrade that gives HnR, beaststar has HnR if it has the baron, screamerstar doesn't have HnR, centstar only has HnR if the buffmander took it.
If you can find a way to target them out then you can lock in CC, or hope they fail their hit and run I test.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're speaking of the Screamerstar Weight of die does work. Once the first one gets through, that 2++ drops, and from there, they're really exspensive windriders with a 4++.

Uh what? Screamer star always has a 2++ if the grimoire works. It doesn't degrade after they suffer a wound. The grimoire does not affect the bearer though. Might be able to capitalize on that if your opponent makes a mistake.

Be'Lakor and the spawn are a must. Use hallucinate to control the deathstar, throw invis spawn at it if you cannot stop it.

Combination of farseers, fortune, and runes of warding can make using hallucinate a difficult proposition. A 3+ rerollable DTW is hard to get past.
On another note, heldrakes are great for killing supporint/scoring units in the backfield.

Thank you for all your comments!
I have been thinking about going MSU, as it will make it more difficult to weaken my army, especially as the game goes on. Here is a list I have so far:
HQ:
Chaos Lord, Bike, MoN, LC PF, Sigil, Horns, melta bombs - 200
Sorcerer, terminator armor - 85
Troops
5 x 10 Cultists - 250
Fast -
5 x Spawn, MoN - 180
2 x Heldrake - 340
Heavy
4 x 2 Obliterators, MoN, - 608
Fortification
Bastion w/Quad, 1 x Void shield - 150
2 x Quad Las Sentry - 150
Total = 1963
The plan with the heavy support and drakes is as can be expected. The cultists will stay in reserves, and come out to take objectives. The bastion will be manned by the Sorcerer and kept in the mid back field. The Quad Las Sentry on the sides.
An alternative list:
HQ:
Be'Lakor - 350
Sorcerer, terminator armor - 85
Troops
5 x 10 Cultists - 250
Fast -
2 x Heldrake - 340
Heavy
4 x 2 Obliterators, MoN, - 608
Fortification
Bastion w/Quad, 1 x Void shield - 150
2 x Quad Las Sentry - 150
Total = 1923
Same idea as above, but I would keep Be'Lakor out of LoS, possibly on the bastion, until his psyk powers are necessary.
I have lots of wiggle room.
