Twinner I already told you that I don't care. This isn't my sole income. I had to move on from that and because of it the outstanding projects are advancing very slowly. The more you write on here the longer it takes to complete projects like MBultlers. So really just keep going your really.only affecting the other outstanding clients. I've moved on from this month ago.

And Darefsky what are you talking about? lmao your telling me that you never run out of a certain color paint. Paint fairies come at night and restock all your paints for you? Those are supplies and time taken to get them. This is the thing. How does anyone writing anywhere keep you from completing projects that have been paid for? Have you taken any measure of capacity vs. Takt time? Even if you haven't, you should understand clearly your lead time is too far out there to keep clients happy, and you should concentrate on clearing out back orders instead of hustling new business.
To do otherwise leads you on a cycle of the lame, unbelievable type excuses and evasions I have seen in this thread attributed to you.

As I said before this is pointless. I've already stated that I've moved on with the BGW thing month ago and getting new projects is the only way to fund staying home and painting to have time to finish up the few outstanding orders.

You really should study up on Takt time instead of making excuses. It will help you understand work capacity and why you are going to piss people off. Taking people's money after admitting you can't finish their work in a timely fashion if at all, well ...

Some serious, meant to be helpful advice. Formula for Takt Time(which is used for pace of sales): Take whatever available time you have to paint within the bounds of an agreed finish time(actual time you plan to be hands on painting, cleaning, priming, etc.), convert it to seconds and divide it by the number of miniatures you have to complete. That will tell you how many seconds you need to complete a miniature.
As an example, say you have 4 hours of painting time in a day and 30 miniatures you need to complete by the end of that day.
Convert 4 hours into 240 minutes, then convert those minutes into 14, 400 seconds.
Divide that number by 30.
14, 400 divided by 30 equals 480. In other words to achieve the agreed delivery time you need to crank out one fully painted miniature every 480 seconds. Match that against whatever your manual cycle time for prepping and painting to see if you could accept that commission under those conditions or not and communicate clearly with your client.
I've been in manufacturing 25 years. Trust me, if you figure your commissions this way, you'll piss off a lot less people.
Of course, we could get into sequence combination tables, bar charts and line maps, but I think I gave you enough to chew on.

I'd report you for rule one if you weren't so hilarious.
So what you're saying in the incredibly jumbled torrent of words is you're only accepting more work to pay for the time to do the work that's outstanding?

Alright, let's calm the flames here a bit.
There's been some dogpiling in this thread, so I'm going to ask that anyone who does not have an outstanding problem with Battlegrounds Wargaming refrain from chiming in. It's not helping the situation, and no one's mind is going to be changed at this point.
Also, there's been rudeness all around, so I'm going to call this a general thread warning. Keep it civil please.

Mbulter since he claims to be working on your stuff, mind posting some progress pics, or chime in on your thoughts please?
Also Sean, you said you make more then enough money welding. Why then do you have to make money while painting? Why not just use your spare time, and paint the projects that you owe, rather then take on new ones to help you make money when, according to what you said, you don't need it. Since you just said you are shutting down the commission business.

Twinner I'd be glad to put in my two cents. Sorry, I've been very busy lately and haven't looked at this thread in the past couple of weeks. Here is what has happened to me over the past few weeks. On July 6th Sean emailed me saying the following:
"I have started wish i was further along, I cant take pictures though, I'm having battery issues with my phone and cant get it to turn on. I had it on for a few minutes the other day and it died again. Im trying to charge it now so hopefully I can get it on. Im back to painting fulltime again, I was welding for awhile but things are really moving along now."
Sean sent me a pic of some High Elf models a few months ago and told me they were mine. Problem was the picture was of a pile of HE models and you could not tell what was what. I continued to ask for a picture of the project, as he told me he had started on it. On July 16th I received this:
"I can't take pics right now. My phone is.totally broken, won't turn on at all."
I responded asking if he had friends, family, or employees who had a phone or camera he could use to take some quick photos. That was on July 17th, I have not heard back yet.
I don't know anything about the conflict Sean had with the gentlemen who came to his house to get his property back. If only 6 days were given to complete the project I would agree that is unlikely to happen. However my models arrived with Sean on 1/16/2014, over a year and half ago. I would say it is equally, if not more ridiculous to be unable to complete a project in that amount of time. Sean has continuously avoided communication with me as long as he can and then I receive an email out of the blue that he is working on the project and will be done soon. Then we will go a couple of months with nothing. I have no idea what Sean is planning. I won't make assumptions, the police are involved in this now and I will let them handle it as they see fit based on the law.

Hey guys, at this point I think it is safe to say we should let the thread go. Sean is obviously having issues and dog piling on him like this is only making things worse. Sean, if you are reading this please just stop trying to make miniature painting work for you. Its not going to work. Its NEVER going to work for you. Just send everything back if you still have it. If you don't have it just stop communicating with people and just let it die. This thread will continue to pop up on google searches from now until the internet becomes self aware and kills us all. Be a welder It's good money. STOP TRYING TO RUN A MINIATURE PAINTING BUSINESS.

I will agree with Kimchi except on two points. One the idea that if BWG does not have our property to return to us he should stop communicating with us and let it die. Essentially you are advising him to not even attempt to make things right. While the ideal situation for anyone on this thread who has worked with BWG would be to have their property returned that is not the only way to make amends. To say that the party of misconduct in this situation should not have to rectify things seems a bit much. Secondly is the fact that a thread like this should not be up or remain up. While I agree that some of this thread, and probably a majority of it, are from people who do not have direct dealings with BWG and may never have any, there is nothing wrong with those of us who have had issues with this company communicating what has happened. Dogpiling on BWG does not do any good I agree, but there is a lot of factual information in this thread that comes first hand from those who have hired BWG for a job. I don't know if BWG is still trying to gain new clients, but of so then those who choose to work with them should have the information I this thread and make a decision based on all the facts. I believe it is pretty clear in the posts which are facts based on what happened between the two parties and what are opinions of other members who have come and read the thread.

Hey guys, I used Sean earlier on this year, and as you probably expect, he was absolutely terrible. No communication, complained when I asked him about things, never answered any of my calls, etc. Luckily, I live nearby in Toronto and he made the mistake of giving me the address he had moved to. After showing up to his place unannounced, I got my stuff back and was not surprised to see that he had not even opened the carrying case yet, let alone started to work on anything.
Honestly I don't think he is a scam artist, just a straight up compulsive liar/total dumbass who doesn't realize he's screwing over dozens of people out of hundreds of dollars. I am currently in the process of suing him for my initial deposit and for court fees, so once he doesn't show up to court and doesn't pay me it will become criminal.
Text removed.
Reds8n
However, if you would like to get a class action international lawsuit going on, just send me everything you have in terms of evidence and phone numbers, we can move forward from there.
Bottom line is he's not going to work on your project and will constantly lie to you, so either show up at his doorstep, or let's sue this liar. PM me
