Yup, I applied to three schools. UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz and UC LA. I haven't heard from Berkeley or LA yet. But Santa Cruz wants me in their Sociology program. I hear from Berkeley at the end of the month and LA well I don't know. I really want Berkeley because it is a great school with one of the best Sociology programs and teachers there are.

Grats, man. I just got denied to San Diego State despite a respectable GPA, a mountain of transferable credits and two AS degrees. Guaranteed money from the GI Bill didn't sway them much either

Or was it not depressing enough. I maid mine extremely depressing on how I was wrongfully stuck in Special Ed programs.

Maid - A maid, or housemaid or maidservant, is a female person employed in domestic service.
Made - simple past tense and past participle of make.

On a related note, don;t you know that all University degrees are a waste of time unless they are in STEM?

Congrats, just make sure you have a plan for a post-grad certificate program. Start planning now since sociology on its own doesn't gurantee employment.

make sure you spend time finding out what companies want people with sociology degrees, as connections will be far more important the GPA in that realm for finding a job.

Pretty sure the female form of Butler is Governess.

Butler/Governess ran the household and were in charge of the various servants. Women were called Maids and men were called Man Servants.

They are both different things.
Governess and butler are also different.
