It can be region specific. Add Tim Hortons cup and hockey stick for Canadians.

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!

Due to the recent influx of "ignores cover," the rule will be removed and everything will ignore cover unless specified otherwise so the printers can get a breather.

Where is his fedora?

On the coat rack with his jacket on the back cover.

Would that jacket be...a limited edition?

It's a FineJacket.

DAMN! It was right in front of me and I let that card slide right by.

Well played, well played...

I try.

Complaints that shooting is overpowered and assault armies can't win will be fixed. By removing the shooting phase.

To boost disappointing tool sales there will be new formation rules that grant bonuses for every Citadel™ FineTool™ used in constructing the models.

There will be a convenient pocket in the back cover for receipts from your purchases. This is important because GW™ Hobby™ Centers™ will now only allow armies purchased in that location, with proof.

The new book will be a limited edition release. Buy it now, for $149.99, or you can't play 40k anymore. If you're a new customer that missed the pre-order window this is Great News because you can focus on buying models instead of rulebooks while waiting for 8th edition.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

No, its now the "Grants Cover" special rule. And cover saves have been reduced to 6 up for fortifications and ruins. Everything else is now 'soft cover'. It grants no save but you must remind your opponent as you blow his army off the table of 'the good old days when we had a real game'.

I'll one-up you there.

New terrain features (available online only!) offer a "Ignores 'Ignores Cover' " USR.

These forms of cover ignore the "Ignores Cover" rule of certain weapons.

In an attempt to make the match the fluff all weapons will be increased to AP2, and AP2 will become AP1 and AP1 will become D-weapons. All models will cost no more than 5 points each but games will still be played at the 1.5-2k level.

I don't even want to imagine what D weapons will become. Maybe it's circular and they revert to AP-

In order to provide the customer with updates as soon as possible we are now providing overlays for our Codices. The Chaos Space Marines overlay, for example, blocks out all units except Typhus, Cultists and Heldrakes. These overlay packs cost $50 per Codex.

Thought for the day: Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
30k Ultramarines: 2000 pts
Bolt Action Germans: ~1200 pts
AOS Stormcast: Just starting.
The Empire : ~60-70 models.

Hmmm... The D strength weapons table? ...Or the whole gaming table itself? I vote for the latter.

The gaming table.

If you somehow get access to Exterminatus you have to burn the store down and then finish the game in the ashes with any model that survived.

You flip it over, if you hospitalize your opponent in the process you are now legally obliged to steal his models too.

There will be yet another addition to the FOC selection.
Terrain.

You will be allowed to purchase any number of pieces of terrain and area terrain and all are conveniently available from GW. The BRB will not have random terrain rules as you will now be required to purchase it or fight in the open.

This is all until they release the supplement
"Field Manual" that contains even more rules and terrain pieces.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

To represent the strength of their ever-present (but never discussed) naval assets, all Imperial and CSM armies may elect to fire a "True Orbital Bombardment" once per game.

This shot hits on 2+ (on 2d6) and has a 5' x 5' template. Any model under the template is destroyed, no saves of any kind are allowed. Against multi-Wound models, it is assumed to do a minimum of 1000W of damage.

Armies capable of fielding this weapon can elect to fire it before deploying, provided their opponent has already deployed their armies onto the table.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

The new Mysterious Terrain table will be for the planet you're on where you'll roll to see if it's a Imperium Planet, a planet lost to the Warp, a Maiden World, a Death World (with 6 different types based on climate), a Tomb World, or a planet being attacked by a Hive Fleet. Depending on the roll will determine what kind of extra models will be added to the table (the models may be any kind from the codex and must be of a points total equal to or less than twice the points of the other two armies combined), and if one of the players are playing an army that benefits from the roll (such as a Necron Player on a Tomb World) they get the models added to their army (if both players are playing an army that would benefit from the roll they split the additional models in half based on points and then add them to their army). Otherwise the models will be controlled by a neutral 3rd party and everytime a unit is wiped out they may place it into ongoing reserves. Each of these units will be worth 1 Victory Point regardless of the mission being played.
