title says it. i am converting a taurox to a looted tank/trukk, and need to decide on what to use on the front.
blutacked a battlewagon ram on it to see how it looks....

what do you think?
too much, or proppa' orky?

alternative would be a trukk ram.

I like it and I HATE orks.

Now, we like big books. (And we cannot lie. You other readers can’t deny, a book flops open with an itty-bitty font, and a map that’s in your face, you get—sorry! Sorry!)

Looks great, don't change a thing. Although feel free to add other things!

I'm saving the picture and filing it away for my eventual Taurk-ox conversion. Kinda wanna wait for the codex, and figure out if it'll do best as a trukk, a wagon, open/close topped, etc.

Yup. No such thing as too much when it comes to orks. Looks awesome. Also, I agree with optometris, that thing looks infinitely better with wheels instead of those derpy tracks.

While talking about orkifying the taurox…

When I first saw the front bumper on the taurox, the first thing that came to mind was “That needs to be changed into a bent-metal ork face"

Would you be able to flip it over for an upside-down photo so we can see how you've integrated the wheels?

I'm also just curious about what the underside of a Taurox looks like, since I haven't seen one in the flesh yet.

Great stuff. If I was playing that, I'd be sure to give you +1S on any Ram and some kind of modifier on Tank Shock Ld tests, as even the Emperor's Finest would hesitate to stand in front of that load of metal.

Not quite big enough, yet.

I'm sure you can use some plasticard or something to bulk it up a little more.

no problem, pic of how i did the wheels (please take a minute now to laugh at how cheap and stupid my way of attaching them actually is )

and pic of general underside (note that not all taurox parts are there, and that the metal bars with the steps are from the land speeder storm):

ork reinforced ram? counts the AV on the front as +2 for ram attacks...

That is outstanding. Seeing it like this really makes me wonder why the didn't just use oversized wheels to begin with vs. stupid quad-track.

i am not really a pro builder, and actually have no plasticard here... this was just a quick on-the-go conversion for a friend (i don't play orks, see my signature )

i did find some random bitz and armour parts to stick on to fluff it up a bit, i think i'm kinda done now

BTW, i really, really had a nerdgasm when i saw that people like SRM, Paradigm, Gitsplitta, and especially you, Ailaros commented here....

The ram looks fine as far as size and shape. It does look a bit thick, but that could be easily solved by cutting/sanding the top of its inner side to look thinner.

Be sure to add nice beefy mounting points on the sides of the Taurox to connect to the ram.

I may do something similar with my planned looted Taurox, although mine will probably be open-topped and (somehow) lengthened to standard trukk dimensions.
