What it says on the can, could any necron end Lucius?

Slaanesh puts him in a random cultist's body if he's killed by someone who doesn't take any pride in killing him presumably.

Would they feel pride? I mean, they think everybody is a lesser race, so killing a particularly ugly member of a lesser race might not elicit much pride from the Necron responsible. They don't have the issues with Chaos that the IoM and the Eldar have, they don't relish a good fight like the Orks, so who is to say that the Necron who puts Lucius down even notices? Yeah, they feel emotions, but would they recognize killing Lucius as the sort of thing you feel pride for?

A Necron Warrior, Flayed One, or Immortal is as emotionless as ever.

Necron Canopteks are also unfeeling.

So are tanks. This doesn't stop Chaos from warping them into daemon engines. And Astartes are flesh. This doesn't stop Chaos from mutating them so they sprout metal limbs and manufacture ammunition in their bodies.

Also, considering that Slaanesh already rezzed him once, he/she/it would likely just rez him again and respawn him in the Eye of Terror. Probably pissed off too, as Lucius couldn't feel any euphoric pain by being killed by a gauss weapon before he got vaporized.

According to the Black Crusade RPG material, necrons are 100% immune to chaos mutation anyway

It's a lot of fun to try to find ways to kill Lucius so that his killer won't feel any pride and be turned into a face in his armour.

Ripper Swarm (or anything else Tyranid, really)
automated defense turrets
A Machine Spirit (?)
Someone protected by one of the other Chaos Gods
A Chaos Spawn
A Servitor
A Daemon (I think)
Kroot Hound
Any kind of mass destruction that kills him without the gunner knowing Lucius was down there.

Slaanesh plots him off with the infinite powers of the warp and poops him into someone else's body.

Don't buy it - they are subject to material decay and degredation - also they already have a massive problem with corruption due to the Flayer virus

The Strange materials of the Necrons are highlt resistant to most things but ot immune - although they woud likely render down any "corrupt" units into energy as mentioned in the Codex for those that can't be fixed by regneration etc.

I am not sure that many people in the IoM know who Lucius is either. Just a pink heretic with a big sword. I bet 90% of the people who killed him before had no clue who he was.

And yes, now that the newcrons have desires and emotions they will feel pride, perhaps just a very small amount but enough.


Ugg I really hate the newcron fluff. It's so dumb, but that is another thread I guess.
