Oh, nah, I don't think that it says that at all. It does say that future Sisters are chosen based upon their faith and battle skills, but otherwise says nothing much on gender.

I still plan on playing 40k, although the new wood elves makes me tempted to start fantasy. If the new rules for 40k are that awful its not like the 6th edition rulebook is unusable.

Female: Farseer Iyanna, and lady malys, Sub-Commander Torchstar, Phaerakh Xun'Bakyr. None of these have models and only one has rules. None are even human and one is a mummy robot.

Male: Sliscus, Baron Sathonyx, Nightspear, Imotekh the Stormlord, Vargard Obyron, Illuminor Szeras, Orikan the Diviner, Nemesor Zandrekh, Tellion, Antaro Chronus, Pask, Longstrike, O'vesa, Be'Lakor, Sha'Vastos, Arra'kon, Bravestorm, Anrakyr the Traveler, Trazyn, Darkstrider, Asterion Moloc, Sergeant Harker, Draigo, Thawn, Crowe, Stern, hell let's just say "every new marine character".

Agendered: The Swarmlord, Doom of Malan'tai, Parasite of Mortex.

So there are almost as many genderless SCs introduced since 2008 as there are females.

And several times more males.

Ehhhh....Necrons are genderless. They are "it"s, not "he"s or "she"s.

How important gender identity is to modern Necrons is unknown, I'm inclined to say it doesn't matter for them but until we got an in depth look into their society a la the path series I can only shrug.

Also we will play Warmachine, my group was big on Pathfinder RPG prior to 40k so we will play that and also 6th edition because hell it's still matches our codex's if the new one is terrible!!!

Whoops misread the introduced after part....you are correct then!!!!

I'll continue playing Infinity until 7th becomes available for legal purchase at an authorized vendor, at which point I will most certainly purchase the book (with money) and give it a go

I mean god knows 7th couldn't possibly be more hostile to Orks than 6th has been. feth 6th.

Gender is more about mentality than what lies between your legs (which would be your sex).

If Imotekh identifies as male, he is male even if he doesn't have a metallic thundercock to go along with his storm motif.

God, that "gender" term...not going to go that way again. Just saying I consider it stupid.

Anyway: a robot is a robot. He doesn't even have a soul anymore so applying any sort of gender to it seems very wrong to me. He doesn't magically "get" a gender just because he maybe used to have one back in the good ol...well...crappy "I die before the age of 20" days. Objectively, he's a robot. No gender

I like female characters. In my books I write a lot of them and they're usually my main characters.

I would disagree with this statement, as I've found 6th to be a step back from 5th in many areas.

I will say one thing about Infinity. At least it sexualizes it's genders (roughly) equally. They have gentlemen, ladies, aliens, and furries all standing around in awkward poses for your viewing pleasure
