In an amazing blow to fun everywhere, I managed to ruin the game BUT NOT REALLY. For you see, knowledge is not actually power. That's a lie. Fate was already sinking its great yellow wolf fangs into your necks. To be fair, twelve barrels of tasty (so they tell me) Lammheimer Lager got made. Very professional that. But the infection was spreading all the while. Wolf Number One was none other than WarOne, as some of you grasped only too late. He gave the wolf-clap to whitedragon, who was the SECOND Mystic. That's right -- two Mystics, holy hell! And finally, in an insane twist, whitedragon spread the taint to that most esteemed fellow and leader of good men, Plataun4th. That means Plataun4th was not only unfairly killed by me, and not only resurrected to vindicate his careful leadership of Lammheim, but still managed to end up on the winning team. For this was indeed another

WEREWOLF VICTORY

Now WolfOne, er, WarOne has asked that we have a "happy ending" here. That's from a wolfish perspective, mind. But for those of you who survived, the wolves extend the paw of friendship. Which means that they won't eat you if you go ahead and agree to also become filthy lycanthropes. But if you do he'll also let you brew beer, which will I guess be Wolfbrau. And Lammheim will probably be renamed Wolfheim. Those things won't arouse any suspicion, I'm sure.

That said, the final stretch was a ridiculous treat. Everyone was playing very well after some quiet days. I would note that the humans killed more folks than the wolves. So I ask you, who is the real beast?? Yes, that's the moral of our story.

It's a good thing Plataun4th is taking over. Here's what was in store for you if I ran Game 3:

I sent a private message to WarOne requesting he turn me to a wolf if he indeed was one earlier this morning (well, yesterday morning, at this point). I accept being turned into a fur-beast. I'm already a hairy mo-fo and I have to shave every other day or look like a beast and I have gorilla legs.

Also, I told you fethers I was human. Suck it. War, how long did I have you laughing at your computer when I sided with you? Plat was my number one call as a wolf, and you were always my number two, although you gave me nothing concrete (siding with everything I said WAS suspicious though). McMcalla just became vocal enough to pull my suspicions off of you onto him. If he didn't fight the silver idea, I would have targeted you. Damn you, McMcalla!! You made me kill you. It's your fault the beasts won! *sobs*

The villagers almost had a brew victory. I wonder what would have happened if we had lynched kronk on the first day. I might have lived longer and discovered WarOne but probably not. My suspicions were first Wyrmalla and then d-usa. After that, I was going to check timetowaste85.

I begin to believe that the most vocal are not the most likely to be werewolves.

First off, I'd like to congratulate my fellow Brothers of the Moon on another howlin' victory!

Secondly, there's nothing in the rules forbidding the Hunter from killing after he's revealed; he only becomes a villager if he kills a werewolf.

Oh yes. He only loses the power to kill when he is killed or when he kills a wolf and becomes a Villager.

Epilogue- My version anyway.


Dawn breaks over a broken town. Where children once frolicked and danced to the tune of morbid children's songs and mothers chatted as they did their ceaseless chores, the menfolk took it upon themselves to reap a harvest. Under auspices of a Count who could care less beyond his own avarice for freshly minted potables, thirteen was the number of barrels he required to sate his thirst. Failure would bring greater toils for the villagers in the near and far future. The undertaking and challenge was accepted.

Several bodies swung from the old oak tree, a silent observer to the horrors that had occurred over the last several days. A few more were buried over the knotted hill, their plots fresh with upturned dirt. Men in cloaks skirted the hours between dawn and dusk, ferrying either messages or ill intent under the cloak of darkness. Wives and kids huddled in the dark, feebly protecting themselves from the horror that might seek them or the madness that might grip them.

In the end, the final dawn would not truly be the end of all. Unlike Dakkadorf that fell from within, Lammhein had an inner strength that proved to be insurmountable to fear. As the few remaining brewers emerged from their homes to see what toll the previous night had exacted, it was a count of exactly zero. Stunned, they looked at each other, their bleary eyes disbelieving the scene. They had assumed one of their neighbors would be dead today. Such was now the typical night in Lammhein.

Several of the villagers separated from the throng. Their bodies shifting, it came as no surprise that their forms became that of half men, half wolves. That was the rumor after all. What shocked them though was they did it so blatantly. They now had equal parity with the others they now stood before. 3 wolfmen, 3 humans. The werewolves extended their claws, reaching out to the humans. The humans flinched, but held their ground. What else were they to do? Escaping would mean being run down from behind. Fighting would prove futile. Gulping, they waited for what they thought would come, an end.

There was no bloodshed that day. Thirteen barrels did make their way through the winding roads to the castle of the Count, who did enjoy a brew of Lammheim's finest. With a writ of appreciation sent to the town, it was quickly forgotten. He turned his sights to other parts of his domain, eager to partake of a glorious bounty he cared little for how it was extracted.

And Lammheim was forgotten, a tale and caution that would not repeat in stories told in other villages. Instead, the fear of men turned to wolves and the Curse of the Count was what brewed from that day on....

I'd like to lie and say I knew WarOne was the wolf, but he was a member of my team and thus essential to victory, so I made things work out in my head through mental gymnastics that he wasn't. He was under suspicion for awhile(I even outright said it to whitedragon once), but I trusted my teamies and was thusly rewarded.

The other lie: All that bunk yesterday about not believing there was a second wolf. I was just trying to get us centered on a single person to give us an extra night(and save my own hide, my team insisted I not get lynched yesterday).

Speaking of my team: We had a good laugh about how no one noticed(or at least mentioned noticing) that three members of Dakka Detachment 2 all ended up in the same game of Werewolf. Though, to be fair, there's like 7 or 8 of us now, so it's hard to keep track of.

So, yeah, I was an unknowing member of Team Jacob all along and was STILL able to get 12 barrels completed.

SUCK IT TEAM PURPS!

We need better results in Game 3.

Well, those of us that lived live in harmony. It all worked out. Count wins and I lived. I guess I can't say I'm not a wolf anymore. Which one of you transformed me? Did I get a kiss and dinner first?

Considering that there are now six werewolves living in a village called Wolfheim, I suppose the title of W2 was pretty accurate.
