Chicago can take either Dix or Pryor now. I feel like Pryor but I like Dix more
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
look out Wilson and kappernick!!!!!!!!!!!!
whembly, you're going to really like Donald. He played for my alma mater, so I watched him a lot. Crazy strong and quick (you see this on the field AND in his combine numbers), great attitude, and he'll be one of your team's hardest workers. All he did this past season was win the Lombardi, Bednarik, Outland and Nagurski trophies. The best comparisons might be John Randle or Warren Sapp.
I just don't see any obvious bust factors with the kid. I know teams would like him to be a little bigger, but the guy can bench a car...what difference does 15 more pounds make? And to show you that I'm not just being a homer, I wouldn't go near Tom Savage in the 2nd round like some draftniks are saying. I'm rooting for the kid, but I really don't see him as a starting-caliber NFL QB.
Anyhoo, the draft broke really badly for the Steelers, with Gilbert, Fuller and Beckham all off the board at 15! I don't think many predicted that! CB was easily their biggest need, but with the two guys who fit them best being gone, I'm okay with them taking an ultra-athletic LB. I'm not sure there was much separation between the WRs and CBs left at that point and the guys that will still be there in round 2.

I've been salivating over this guy last night watching all the highlight clips of his...
Jeebus, I think he's the Rams' answer for a "inside rush DT" we've been lacking.
With Donald and GRobinson... I think Fisher just declared "Old Man Football" war on the NFC West.
Alfndrate wrote: Also who the feth is Eric Couch? Do you mean Tim Couch, who flicked off the Steelers end zone seats when he ran in a TD and unfortunately got screwed in a regime.change?
Probably a mashup of Tim Couch and Eric CROUCH, the former Heisman winner.

They'd be a match made in heaven.
Idzik & Ryan are locked into Geno Smith though, it would make 0 sense to take Manziel
was surprised to see Buchannon and Jimmie Ward gone, felt like both those picks were a bit of a reach
And kinda surprised Minnesota traded back into the first for Bridgewater, since Cleveland skipped on him & the Texans, Redskins, Jags would be better trading parties in the top of the second (As Oakland may have tried and got him @36)

I think you'll be surprised how good buchanon is gonna be. He's a Rodney Harrison clone. He was the guy I hoped the patriots picked and was extremely bummed he went to the cardinals.
Automatically Appended Next Post: I'm not sold on Easley. Clearly he has top end talent. But double ACL's scares me ;p
Automatically Appended Next Post: And lots of rumors saying the Seahawks traded out of 32 because the pats took Easley. That makes me feel better as they've drafted extremely well lately.

Ohhhhh my godddddddd the Bills actually did something exciting! Unfortunately we put all of our eggs into the E.J. Manuel basket because we won't be able to draft a 1st round QB next year if he ends up sucking. Still pretty excited for Watkins though!
SF have traded a conditional pick to Buffalo for Stevie Johnson for a conditional pick in a year (4th potentially a 3rd)
Seems Revis will get to battle Watkins unless Robert Woods has a breakout year

You can see how he just wrecks stuff inside...he's a TFL machine and a prototype 3-tech DT. Keep in mind that Donald made all those plays and won all those trophies without a lot of good players around him. It wasn't a very talented Pitt defense, and he faced a lot of double teams as a result.
But then I also heard a story about how an opposing coach stopped double-teaming him during a game. Apparently they tried everything they could to block him, but he was beating them anyway, so they said the hell with it. Obviously the NFL is a big step up, but the thing that's really going to let him shine with the Rams is that he's on a loaded d-line. He'll get plenty of opportunities to wreck stuff. It's a great situation for the kid.
Oh, and you know that he was only a 2- or 3-star rated player coming out of HS? Obviously he has rare gifts, but a lot of what you see there is a gakload of hard work and time in the weight room. Pitt fans are awfully proud of him.
My Steelers could really use a WR or CB in round 2...
NFL history for the second year in a row. A RB not taken till in the 50's talk about crazy.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Cincy we aren't allowed to mock Cleveland. Haven't you heard?
Automatically Appended Next Post: Wow NEP take a QB in the second round? Anyone know anything about garappolo besides he has a quick release? Hoping for an Aaron Rodgers scenario here I guess.

How many people outside of Michigan circles had heard of that d-bag Tom Brady before he got to the Pats? Honestly, because no ones heard of the guy doesn't really mean gak here. Bellichick, if he uses him, will know exactly how to get the most bang for the buck out of him.
I mean, no offense to the bro, but there's a world of difference between starting at Michigan and starting at Eastern Illinois.
Im not saying Garrapolo is bad, or will be bad, but I think we have to put some perspective behind starting at a B1G school for two years after the team had won a title and starting for a school in the Ohio Valley Conferende.
What the actual feth is Arizona doing Taking Logan Thomas over AJ McCarron, Tajh Boyd, Aaron Murray, Tom Savage and Zach Mettenburger. I'd even consider taking someone like Devin Gardner over Thomas, all he is is arm

should be about the same as last year:
Weeks 1-5 Cleveland fans will be "Yaayy, we're gonna go to the playoffs this year!!! THIS. IS. OUR.YEAR!!!!", Giants fans will be " WTF Coughlin!!!! TRADEEEEEE Manning! RAAAWWRRR"
Then, weeks 12-17, Cleveland fans will be "aww, well... there's always next year. Perhaps we can play the spoilers for this season" and Giants fans will be "Coughlin's a genius, we need to extend him. Looks like we're getting ready for another playoff run"
Ohh, and weeks 1-17, Cowboys fans will be "Romo!!!" intermixed week to week with "ugh.... romo"
So no Michael Sam yet. I can only imagine the crap storm were about to witness if he doesn't get drafted. Wish the kid the best hopefully he catches on somewhere.

The best team he should go to... and I'm not even kidding... is the 49er.
He's a perfect 3rd down player, ala Aldon Smith when he first joined.
