I should say they havn't said they were, or were not putting out a new starter. they may, they may not, it's just not going to happen with the 7th release.
That is what is called a bait and switch. No new starter box before Christmas witha brand new edition of the game? There is no way gw won't capitalize on that.
If, as many suggest, this new edition is a rush job to plug a hole in the financials, there may not have been time to create a plastic box set. The moulds for plastics take quite a lot of time to create, as far as i'm aware. Certainly longer than a book (well, 3 books) that are 90% recycled material.
Never before have GW rereleased the old boxed set with a new rulebook. This is a new move. I can't see that it'd be worth it just for 3 months of sales (That would steal sales away from their expensively produced new boxed set).

A new Blood Angels would be interesting. I'm really curious to see if GW has what it takes to not make them ass, considering their assault based play-style.

1) I don't believe even GW knows their release schedule that far in advance. Unless all of that stuff is already sitting in warehouses (it's not), it's subject to production and distribution issues, possible delays from restocking other product lines, etc. The release date for a product won't be fixed until most of the groundwork is done, it's just too much of a business risk otherwise. Beyond 3-4 months any release schedule is going to be tentative at best, with some incomplete projects still not assigned to any date.
2) WD virtually confirmed there won't be a new starter set anytime soon.
3) Xenos terrain is right behind plastic Sisters in terms of wishlisty rumour fodder.
Again, Natfka is just throwing *stuff* against the wall hoping it will stick.

I'd be willing to bet a sizeable percentage were posted within a few weeks of release, around the time the WD starts to leak and other people are posting the same info. I'd also expect around 99% of the long term rumours (3+ months out) to be total BS.

Orks Collectors codex will have a slipcase that will come with an artbook and a Ghazghkull supplement. The Ghazghkull supplement will be released at a later date.
They were right (and early) on quite a few 7th edition things (3 books in a slipcase, calling bs on the %-system when BoLS/Natfka posted those, etc...)
I'm inclined to trust this source more. There's actually a bit of foreshadowing in the last WD that hints at future Ghazghkull-related content, where he "ups and leaves to pursue a new, unknown agenda".

Judging a post based on if it's account is new or not. Hello to you too. I'm just sharing what I heard and I've been lurking Dakka for a while now. I'm mostly wishing that SW would be after Orks, and find it interesting that Lords of War and Natfka have contradicting rumors.
Like I said, take it as you will. I'm just giving any info I pick up.

Why are people even rooting for Xenos terrain? It will be massively overpriced. Right now, we got lots of really good-looking and reasonably priced 3rd party terrain. Why not buy that instead?

Worst still, Nafka seems to also be taking rumors posted elsewhere and then claiming "anonymous source" when in fact you can trail it back to somewhere else. Now of course this could easily be explained by NAFKA posting anything that comes to into his inbox without vetting it.

Plastic Wracks- very doubtful unless they can get a dual kit out of it. New Haemonculi in plastic seems plausible, though I'm really hoping for plastic Archon/Succubus. A large construct doesn't seem too far fetched since everyone else has got one. Anyone feel the Kabalite Trueborn deserve a kit? or is it just me?

Not necessarly, they just have to give them a few weapon options, and they wont need to be part of a dual kit.

I think its funny that some people don't want there to be a new Warhammer Fantasy edition. They're going to finish the 8th Edition Army Books this year regardless.
The fact Warhammer 40k 7th Edition came out this year was unexpected, it really should be next year but they're launching it early because of issues with 6th Edition. Warhammer Fantasy 9th Edition was obviously due this year. Its that or print new Army Books like Chaos Dwarfs and Dogs of War.
It all sounds plausible to me given they're prematurely launching 7th.
DE are a fairly hot army, certainly one of their better looking miniature ranges. It would make sense for them to go there early in the release cycle. Follow up on the developments from the last update.

Interesting, thanks... I think it's kind of a long shot to get a new edition for both fantasy and 40k in the same year, but GW have been setting a frenetic pace with rules releases lately.
