Seeing as how there isn't a 30k forum I thought I would start this thread.
As some of you may have already seen, there were a bunch of new models unveiled at the Horus Heresy Weekender, but that was only part of the fun.
There was a plasticine and Lego model building contest and I was fortunate enough to be part of the group that won it, here is our Lego Daemon Primarch Perturabo...(for those of you who wondered in and don't know much about the Heresy, he was the primarch of the Iron Warriors.
It was an amazing experience, being from the United States I didn't know what to expect, but everyone here made the experience absolutely amazing.
Here are a couple more photos, taken by myself and some of the members of my group...
This is the Thanatar, a heavy support choice for the Adeptus Mechanicum during the time of the Great Crusade and the Horus Heresy
This is Mortarion, long awaited primarch of the Death Guard who would go to become the current era Plague Marines
I already have this set, but I picked up a copy to put into a charity event my gaming group puts on every year at Christmas time. These two books make it a lot easier for normal
40k gamers to get into 30k. Lead Heresy designer Allan Bligh was even kind enough to sign them for me.
This is one of my favorite pictures, although it isn't a picture taken at the Weekender. I took this Friday evening before getting into a large Kill Team game at Warhammer World. I have been playing this game off and on since the days of Rogue Trader so this was a pilgrimage of sorts for me, to see where it all started was great. This is one of the tables you can game on at Warhammer World.
If anyone has any interest I took loads of pictures from the event and would be glad to post more. There are plenty of pictures already in the Forge World thread in the News and Rumors section also but I would be happy to post mine here.
Cheers
