Different ammo for the splinter weapons would be good.

I assumed 6 months ago the V-bomber would be pulled from the book. Why even make a new flier kit for it at this point when it so similar to the razorwing already? Probably just add voidlance upgrade or tank hunter to the jetfighter and be done.

Everything else is just rehashed speculation. Drazar has on of the most outdated models, and is hideously out of the current aesthetic. Vect and him obviously need new models, along with the dais. I am actually going to be surprised if we get any plastic infantry, wracks included. This wreaks of the eldar plastic aspect rumors before their release.

Probable Vect + dais and maybe drazr and thats it will be my guess. At any rate I am sure we lose more then we get.

Void Raven has a kit ready. It's not going to be cut from the book.
Vect is going to move to Lord of War, and making him and a Dais kit fills the DE Lord of War slot and gives him a model.
Drazhar would work best if he was made part of a kit of Incubi- replace an old character and a finecast kit with a 5 man plastic box.
Wracks are also highly likely- they are the Troops for a Coven force, and troop units need plastic. They also share a lot of wargear with Haemonculus, like how Wyches and Warriors parts can swap onto the Succubus and Archon respectively.
At least an archon clampack. Preferrably a Succubus as well. Right now, DE have NO plastic HQ models.

Duke, Baron, and Malys are likely to go away. And Harlequins seem a logical choice to pull out of the book and be made a supplement Dex later.

GK didn't get any new models because they can make every unit in their book already.
Orks and Eldar got a mix of old units updated to plastic and new units.
Dark Eldar still have a number of critical units in the book that need plastic, units that will sell kits without adding any new units yet. They have the highest proportion of their range in finecast vs plastic still.

I still think we get a very limited if anythign release. I also still bet the void-raven is dropped. It should have been a dual kit, it was not, and its design isn't like a valkyrie/vendetta ie. just weapon swaps.

I hope you are wrong about the Harlies. Not that I couldn't see GW doing that, but I really, really hope Harlequins aren't removed from the DE 'dex.

Separate Dataslate: Harlequins?

I could see harlies being removed. If they are removed I would anticipate a dataslate e-codex being released more or less at the same time.

Given the dark eldar codex is closing in on 5 years old, many of the models were finecast which is pretty much gone so they will need to be re-done in plastic of phased out. I believe this release will be much more substantial than the GK release in terms of models, maybe not in terms of new rules.

Imo they need to do something about the Harlies. They cant keep the same stats as they have in the eldar codex since they were already outdated when that book came around. Moving them to a dataslate would be one solution...

I can't imagine harlequin's being removed. But GW has made worse decisions in the past.

I would love to see a Harly e-dex or data slate. Update their rules from the gak that they are now ala assassins and allow them to separate into different units ie. Death Jesters are their own unit and allow them to take Venoms as DT.

Because more money for less content was a great idea? I hate the data slate trend. I wouldn't mind if they were the $5 they were worth but $20 for 4 assassins for example should be criminal.

I'd like to see an Archon kit that actually had some options. Archons have great wargear, but the finecast model restricts it so much.

I'd also love to see a new khymerae kit too. I love the finecast ones, but (again) there's no customisability as it stands.

This is true, for some reason I always think eldar were 2-3 years ago.

I think if the rumored "coven" book is true there is a strong chance we will see wracks and maybe grotesques in plastic, otherwise the only plastic coven model is the talos/chronos. Scourges if you count them.

iirc, and my memory is often hazy, they never released it because there was issues with the cockpit sprue and serious warping.

Which would probably not be a problem if GW could ever leave a sprue in a mold to cool.

Its not like they'd sell fast enough that not allowing for cool time would even be necessary but whatever.

Faeit is reporting that 40k Radio (haven't listened to their newest podcast yet myself) said that Dark Eldar is going to be up for pre-orders September 20th.

Used my google-fu to find out, is it referring to the Void dragon Phoenix?-

The Void Dragon Phoenix is a variant of the Eldar Phoenix fighter-bomber, flown by an Eldar Corsair warband known as the Void Dragons. The only difference between this variant and the original is the replacement of the fuselage Pulse Laser with twin-linked Starcannons. As the Void Dragons have sold their services to both the Craftworld Eldar and Dark Eldar, so too has the Void Dragon Phoenix flown in support of both brethren.

Yeah Void Dragon will be the fighter bomber.
On a further note- feth Finecast Incubis. I'm going to try and get at least another box of metal Incubi from eBay lol

I agree and I hope they do vect by himself too. It would be nice to have a Vect model not on his Dias. I still have my original Dias with Vect so I am set if that become part of vect. Wonder if it would be a chariot

Uhm, any actual info to fuel the speculations? Are DE next in line? Not that there's much choice, anyways. If GW sticks to a "IOM - non-IOM" release schedule, there are only DE and Necs left to update, iirc.
