There must be a rule which says models cannot fire twice in the same phase right?

I guess so. I mean it doesnt say you have to select only one weapon, It says select the weapon, shoot, allocate wounds, rinse then repeat with a different weapon...

Dont know if they changed that yet? As of now no it doesnt and it most likely will be the same. You will have to choose one weapon and fire but if they dont specify in the new book the way the new shooting rules are written this can easily be abused. I take it to mean that first you fire the Bolters from a Marine Tactical Squad, and then you fire the missile launcher, and then the flamer. Or any sequence therein. Three differently named weapon systems in a squad. Probably also has a caveat somewhere in the book that each model can only fire once, so marines with bolters and bolt pistols have to choose.
Just a typically dumbed down phrasing in the rulebook, but it seems obvious (to me at least) that's what they mean.

That's why you ride it as far as it can take you. As Blacksails pointed out, models equipped with bolt-pistols form into units that are, therefore, also equipped with bolt-pistols. This... is about the level of quality I've come to expect from GW, in all honesty, and a reflection of their atrocious level of play-testing.

Dont wanna be rude, but that is only the quick summary section. The full section is right next to it. It may not be THAT BAD. If it is then yea. Someone needs to ask marky mark in the 7th edition thread.

I sure hope they hired an editor this time
Also supposedly in that section it says something along the lines of "If a model chooses not to fire X weapon type it can then fire Y." so you could have a unit fire bolters and bolt pistols, but the unit firing his pistol would have had to give up firing his bolter to get to the point of firing his pistol.

I don't see it as 'dumbed down phrasing'. It's just the overview of the Shooting phase. The 6th edition rulebook doesn't say that a model can only shoot one weapon in the shooting phase in the overview of the Shooting phase so why should the 7th edition rulebook do so?

Typically a model can only fire a single shooting weapon in the same phase, although some models, such as vehicles and MC's can shoot two or more. Once a model has fire its maximum number of weapons, it cannot fire again that phase.
