Also Zombicide Black Plague was 160 minis for $100 or 193 minis for $150.

I like the minis in general but so far the whole thing isn't quite doing it for me. Seemed like Blood Rage had much nicer sculpts and funner gameplay just based on the videos. And I'll get more use out of those minis as an AoS or KoW viking army. Still on the fence but I'm sure it will be a great deal by the end like they always are, so I might still jump in.

Definitely prefer Gamma team over the core box heros, although some of the posing choices seem odd to me.

The female human werewolf's neck seems a little long, the tentacle coming off the leg, the stiff backed gorilla, and the bent over archer. Overall they're not bad in my opinion though.

Black Bases and Grey Plastic Forever:My quaint little hobby blog.

Plus other games- miniature and cardboard both.

It looks like they're sculpting using 3D modelling, attempting to exactly replicate the poses shown in the (much more detailed) artwork, which I think is a mistake, and are then doing a pass to remove enough details that the model can be mass-produced in plastic. Sometimes this looks extremely strange, as per those leggings things (although I can't see why a belt would be that hard). I recall some Rum & Bones models suffered from this as well - one of the KISS characters had a guitar on his back that was just a featureless 2D cutout!

I really do think that the hyper-detailed art, and the models matching the posing on this art, doesn't do the miniatures any favours! With 90s-era GW you also had the same sort of divide (indeed also with Adrian Smith artwork!), but the models were so clearly more cartoonish that it didn't feel as massive.

AFAIK all the miniatures are all physical sculpts SMV doesn't use 3D sculptors. Remy Tremblay is SMV full time sculptor but they also hire other sculptors depending on the work load, Remy did most of original sculpts and is now very proficient at allowing for PVC shrinkage these new sculpts don't look like Remys work to me and it looks like the sculptor didn't make enough of an allowance for shrinkage which is why the trousers ends have become soft in detail someone really should have noticed the missing belt though that detail is really needed.

I think some of the poses are a product of needing to cast everything in one piece for human size models if some were 2 or 3 pieces they would be better but that involves more work and cost and assembly a at the factory with greater chances of errors.

No resins will be offered and no Zombicide crossover planned.

Thiago Aranha - CMON about 1 hour ago

Yes, the minis are PVC. We have no plans on having resin versions available.....

....We don't really have any Zombicide crossover planned.

Wrath demons look muscular.
Gluttony have fat of tentacles on them.
Envy is insectoid.

There are also some unidentified miniatures at the back, between heroes and Hell Club ...Oooh.

How is there not a Kingdom Death crossover here yet?

Thanks for the interview!

Interesting that McVey said that *Dust Studios* will be producing the game and that hopefully, they would have a KS later in 2014.

Damn. You're right, of course, but if that happened I'd have to pledge for it. Could be good or bad depending how it's made available.

Dust Studios were set to produce the miniatures rather then the actual game I believe. I am not certain if this is still the case. -

The material of the miniatures will be PVC. Dust Studio of Paolo Parente will be responsible of the manufacturing, the mold tooling and the quality control. His experience and his presence in Asia will assure an outstanding quality.

Keep in mind that if it is Dust Studios manufacturing the plastics, then they will be the same quality as Zombicide, which (mostly) has great detail, especially in later releases. The season 3 figures were solid and didn't bend at all.

Rum & Bones' figures were really solid as well.

The newer CMON games have had really nice figures. No more bendy scraggly stuff.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Love the Wrath crew, for all my 'angry demons on round bases' needs. I need to be good and keep away from another big board game KS ... but I might be back for the Wrath box at the least

It occurred to me that one of the single sin add-on boxes could make for a cool special scenario in a different game. I'm picturing using the Greed box with some homemade rules in Infinity, as a sort of "Halloween Horror Movie" scenario like we used to in my old club.

Stripper with a grenade launcher seems kinda out of place :/

Was Wrath unlocked and I missed it or is that one we haven't unlocked just yet?

EDIT: Hm.. a thought occurred, I think I'll paint her up in a skin tight bodysuit instead of underwear.. problem solved

Yeeeg, everything about this is just unpleasant to look at. I don't think that she's supposed to be a little person, just short, stocky and extremely musular. With Dolly Parton hair. And exotic dancer /high-tech military ensemble with a skull belt. What?
