Did anyone see mention of whether or not there will be non-tentacled versions of all the people? I need to re-read the concept behind this, for some reason I thought people started off normal. That and for Shadowrun/RPG purposes it'd be nice to have the figures in both states.

No, what you see is what you get as far as I can tell,

where there are multiple sculpts of the Acolytes one tends to be less mutated but they're not meant to be different stages of the same persons corruption

I was mostly asking about future plans. A lot of times things that make sense like that are planned as *cough* stretch goals.. Or, they might do something like that as an expansion. For the salvation mode (or redemption or whatever it's called) it would make sense to me to save innocents before they turn or similar. Having an "innocent" version of the tentacled folks would kill two birds with one stone.

Hey Sinners!

The Mayor's campaign to be unlocked marches on!

So in the meantime, let's check out some more of the great painted miniatures by Studio McVey. This time, we showcase the miniatures from the Gamma Team Optional Buy box!

Please note that these are studio painted resin figures. The plastic miniatures in the game come unpainted and pre-assembled.

'
Skye in human and wolf form.

River and Keanu.

Doc and Eagle.

Corrupted Gangster Acolytes.

Corrupted Diplomat Acolytes.

Find out all about the Gamma Team box: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/coolminiornot/the-others-7-sins/posts/1352106

Have FAITH!

The Mayor will make and interesting Alternate Doctor Octopus!

Also - it looks like River really is wearing pants!

I think I have finally decided to drop out. I'd love to have some of the big awesome monsters, and there are a number of cultists that look great, but other than that I'm kind of meh on a lot of the minis. And nothing about game play has really inspired me.

Yep, at least she did when the resin master was painted. Maybe she lost them in the transition to plastic?

Lol, of all the things to fix on Polly, arm was top of the list?!

Everything about Lust monsters is boring, controller is pretty ok

That was ... confusing, re: river. But yeah, looks intentional and not a quick fix.

On the fence (not my style of game, but like the setting) and the painted minis are nudging me towards picking it up, still some time to decide...

The quality difference between those painted resin masters and the plastic version of that sniper girl is pretty stark... Would like to see more production minis and less resin.

Looks like River's missing her belt from the concept art to the actual plastic and resin minis, as well.

As an aside, why are all of the i's capitalized in all of the copy? Or why did they chose a font that's hard to differentiate an L and an I.

I'm sure Haley will do some paint ups of the production plastic with the standard fade she's done for other projects. Once painted i doubt you'll be able to tell the difference.

I'm sure, but I'd rather see unpainted ones. A professional painter can make anything look good because they can paint details that aren't there (like those pants).

Yeah, those pants looked painted on to me in the resin figure, so I don't know that production will really mean that much. You can paint anything to look like tights though so there's that.

As to production minis getting details added through painting, I saw this with Reaper Bones. Haley and Wappel and company throwing their award-winning paintjobs on and suddenly it's an amazing model then you get it and it's a misshapen blob. I don't think these will be as bad as that but I also don't think it's out of the question. The main things I would be concerned about are the hard surface details like the cybernetics on the one guy and the guns with thinner barrels. Everything else has tons of tentacles which seem to do well with softer plastics and axes and swords which are going to be a dice roll to see how well they translate.

You've seen production minis of everything but the painted versions....

Basically at the midpoint where pledges have flatlined at $550k-ish as the campaign makes its way to the final week, and the $100 offer looks like this:

12 Heroes (+wolf form)
5 Hellfire Club
4/7 Sins (Pride, Sloth, Greed, Lust)
4/7 Acolytes (Nun, Hobo, Medic, Police)
= 73 models total

Getting there, but it looks like looks like you'd need to buy Gamma Team to get the Diplomat Acolytes, and CMoN will want see another $350k-$400k to unlock the last 3 Sins & 2 Acolytes.
Also,

And CMoN offers Delta Team, so...

Gamma Team
5 Heroes (+wolf form)
2x 6 Acolytes (Diplomats & Gangsters)

Delta Team
5 Heroes
2x 6 Acolytes (Chefs & Musicians)
NO big/alt form heroes? That's going to be tough.

So, if you spend $160, you get:

12 + 5 + 5 Heroes (+2 wolf forms)
5 Hellfire Club
4/7x 8 Sin (Pride, Sloth, Greed, Lust)
8/7x 6 Acolyte (Nun, Hobo, Medic, Police + Gangster, Diplomat + Chef, Medic)

= 102 models grand total with expansions

Seems like CMoN is saving the extra Hellfire Club & Sin models to close the campaign.

You sure do get a lot for $100!

Fireman looked pretty neat.

Delta team sculpts all look really solid.

I only want the Sins and their abominations (for my KoW Abyssal army), have no interest in the heroes or game itself. I'll have to judge if it's worth it for myself towards the end if they unlock all the Sins.

I mostly wanted the heroes and backed out. When you get your set I'll be willing to buy the heroes off of you.

He's in the UK, so UK-US shipping would be a bear.

However, I'm in the US, and I'm (only) interested in the monsters & Hellfire Club; not really interested in the heroes or the game; slight interest in the Acolytes. Send me a PM if you want to pull a deal together to split a $100 base pledge.

I'll happily take game non-miniature components off anyone's hands if they're just going to get binned.

With all the existing options additional sets of non-mini components will allow for more than one game at a time.

Delta team is rather uninteresting imo. Might buy Gamma, but Delta is a definite no-go

I like the Gamma team best, yes, but Delta is nice too!

I like the fact that they're putting out more optional...options for us to game with.

Delta is looking really ace. I prefer it by quite a length compared to Gamma team.

What really caught my eye were how big a difference there is from resin sculpt to "production plastic". I'd like to see Polly in her resin version, for one. The other thing that caught my eye is how the sculpters have some difficulties with mouth and cheeks on some of the acolytes.

It will be very interesting to see what else CMoN have in store for us with The Others.

while some of the models are nice looking, there's really no stunners in this batch. Plus I think they really need to either get a better photographer or something as they seem to be taking pictures at the worst angles and showing off the mold lines more than the models.

I like the firefighters, but still not enough to throw money down.

With Envy fully-unlocked at $700k, the $100+S&H pledge looks like this:

12 Heroes (+wolf form)
5 Hellfire Club (+ Mayor)
5/7x 8 Sins (Pride, Sloth, Greed, Lust, Envy)
5/7x 6 Acolytes (Nun, Hobo, Medic, Police, Firemen)
= 89 models total

Minis per dollar, it's not unreasonable value if one backed as an EB.

Assuming that the last 2 Sins & Acolytes unlock, and they throw in a couple more Heroes & Hellfire club, it could be like this:

7+7 Heroes (+wolf form)
7 Hellfire Club (+ Mayor)
7x 8 Sins (Pride, Sloth, Greed, Lust)
7x 6 Acolytes (Nun, Hobo, Medic, Police, Firemen)
121 = models total

With full unlocks, the value would be OK for regular $100+$20 S&H pledges.

If all the Others are going to be sold as expansions, makes me wonder if the base game will retail for under 100 then.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I think I've decided to wait till retail on this one. I really like some of the corrupted figures and most of the Sin figures, but the hero figures are lacking to me. If I decided to build a chaos army around these guys then a decent discounted price will put me in the same price range and the only exclusive that I'll really miss out on is the mayor.
