Rather short game.
Daemons go 2nd.
20 Interceptors shunt across the table and pop of sanctuary.
They cover the flanks with dangerous terrain for the daemons.
Shooting puts down a huge swath of horrors (hits on 3's re-rolling 1's, wounds on 2's rerolling 1's), dropping some 20 or so horrors from those 2 units of interceptors, and another fist from from the rest.
Daemon turn 1 has 3 units get summoned, one lands safe, one scatters off table, one scatters into sanctuary. Both the misses end up with me placing them; which I promptly drop them clustered point blank in front of a beefy henchmen squad (led by coteaz) and the free shooting at them decimate them.
Turn 2 sees the interceptors jump into the fray, gunning more down as they charge head long into combat. Between the shooting and the melee, nobody seemed to notice the his the landraider took..
Game called on turn 3 as it became obvious that the battery doesn't have enough juice.

Shush. The internet has declared the demon factory broken. Don't try to actually play against it and learn.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby. |

Sanctuary = Daemonology. I think the internet is complaining about the effectiveness of Daemonology, not just Malefic. Grey Knights do counter factory HARD.

The 7th Edition FAQ is out!
Pink Horrors can summon.
Daemon Factory is legal! |

Great battle report, I love the detailed listing of units. Really let us see what was going on.

This type of game really boils to 2 things:
1. How balanced of a daemon list your opponent took.
2. Whoever goes 1st.
In any case, congrats.

Not all the time. A pure daemon factory is more prone to this weakness because it is a very unbalanced and extreme build. It'll either overrun you if you don't have the tools to deal with it....or something like this happens. Just like tervigon-spam in the previous Tyranid edition. Either it'll overrun you with more gants than you could handle, or it goes up against Jaws wolves and fold.
Moreover, some armies are more vulnerable to alpha-strikes than others, especially those who depend on casting their psychic powers defensively (or getting into the air).

I guess I must have then.
Actually, back in 6th, it was the age of the unbalanced list - the deathstars.
It was also the game of going 2nd with super-mobile troops and objectives-dominated scenarios.

I was more poking fun that 40k is usually down to 2-3 crucial roles. I know it varies but its definitely true.
See your points on 6th. It was about durability, mobility and last turn. So basically the die roll for choosing and initial power rolls. Again I am over simplifying... But come on... Its a joke

I am definitely looking forward to your GK in 7th ed Jy2. Should be fun.

So it is very similar to salary? You have XX chromosomes and your salary is 30% lower than if you had XY chromosomes.
Or you have the factor for cancer vs you do not so one lives ~20 years longer than the other on average.
40K is a deep metaphor for life!

You actually didn't play it right, if Conjured units Mishap or Suffer one they go in reserve and then you get to place them whereever you want next turn.
Also, how did he not just shut down your Psyhics? Automatically Appended Next Post: Edit
Oh yeah and Alpha Strike and Greyknights kill Daemons dead.

Um, interceptors don't have sanctuary, they have banishment...which is completely different.
