I've been slowly expanding my collection of miniatures in order to play Stargate using, most likely, the Tomorrow's War ruleset. It's easy to buy a variety of military figures, and as Stargate has plenty of humans of the week, that run from Greeks and Vikings to future tech planets are easy to explore. Even Jaffa are still somewhat available, and Wraith are, I guess, blue vampires.

What I'm struggling with is finding figures for new alien races that fit the Stargate aesthetic. Basically mythological, ancient culture inspired sci fi and vehicles. Looking for high quality figures, so please no restic or equivalent suggestions if you have any.

Wait. Are you saying that Jaffa minis are already on the market?

Yes, what the dog in front of a stargate just said.

Seems to be a seller on ebay (UK) with all of it: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stargate-SG1-28mm-Minis-Multi-Listing-OOP-by-Phoenix-/360950774497

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

If you can find them, there were official Stargate miniatures available for a while (possibly made by Eureka), and there are some companies doing things that are similar. Check this topic here:

Yeah I have some of the Jaffa purchased from that eBay seller. They are pretty nice, but they feel like they should be 3-4mm taller. This is particularly true for the Hawk / Serpent Jaffa who are about the same height as the not-SG1 minis from Hasslefree. Of course if you buy the SG1 team from the same seller I'm sure they will scale just fine

Edit: On a related note, Crooked Dice totally need to do a Stargate-themed version of their 7TV series..

If you like the Phoenix Stargate sculpts (the ones in the ebay sale above) get them now. They no longer have the rights for production and if it's anything like earlier SG miniatures, they will be rare as hens teeth and likely only 2nd hand at high prices or as recasts.

Yeah that's the problem I found, they're pretty small. That's why I was looking for Stargate style aliens or sci fi figures with a clear mythological bent to be used as new surprise aliens.

That link did nothing to help me calm down. I did, in fact, calm up.

Down boy.

Vehicles would indeed be a welcome addition to those.

We need someone to make a sci-fi version of greek mythology. Like Ulysses 31 or something.

Speaking of vehicles, does anyone have a recommendation for a MALP chassis? I'm sure I've seen some suitable models on BoW under the guise of wheeled drones or alternate gun carriages for 40k but I can't find them now :(
